Appears some or all of the CZR Vegas properties have a new side bet. Pays 165:1 if you hit all 4 hard ways, PLUS a dealer envy payout.
It’s bet on the come-out. It stays up until a 7 is rolled. 4/6/8/10 rolling easy doesn’t impact it.
Need to roll 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, and 5-5 for it to pay out. They have a lammer for each hard way that the stick man puts on each hard ways area to show when one of the hard ways has been made.
I get a probability of wining of 0.004761905 and expected return of -0.20952381.
On "Craps for a Cure" I was asked about just such a bet.

Is there a naming rights deal available for the lammers?

I get the probability of winning = 1 / 210 and the ER is (165 - 209) / 210 = -22 / 105, both of which matches the Wizard's numbers.
Calculating the probability is easy enough: you have to do four things, in order:
1. Roll one of the four hardway numbers before a 7; this has probability 4 / (4 + 6).
2. Roll one of the three remaining hardway numbers before a 7; this has probability 3 / (3 + 6).
3. Roll one of the two remaining hardway numbers before a 7; this has probability 2 / (2 + 6).
4. Roll the remaining hardway number before a 7; this has probability 1 / (1 + 6).
The total is 4 / 10 x 3 / 9 x 2 / 8 x 1 / 7 = 1 / 210.

Is there a max HE, period? Hasn't the HE on a one-spot Keno ticket always been 25%?
The only HE limit I am aware of is, in Nevada at least, it is 25% on a slot machine.

It's 25% for new games and bets. Games that already existed before the law were grandfathered an exception.

Indeed. The Repeater bet has a similar setup.
I believe it’s $5 for each dollar bet.
It’s an interesting strategy to have the dealers getting tokes like that - definitely incentivizes them to correctly resolve the bet, but also can incentivize them to push the bet harder, too.

If you calculate it as 170:1 (to include the dealer envy) how does it change?
Also, found the rules:

So dealer's tip included is worth 2.4%.
In poker, it's customary to tip 1% if you hit a promo. ie: $500 high hand or bad beat
Interestingly enough, most people will still tip $5 if it's a $2k high hand. My reasoning would be i get a tax form at $2k so i pay taxes on that $2k

Pardon me.
You bet $5, you get $825, dealers get $25.
The percentage of the toke is different than the percentage of the edge.
You can’t just drop something like that without a link.Quote: WizardOn "Craps for a Cure" I was asked about just such a bet.

I was just going by what the above said:
21% HE but 18.6% if you count the dealer tip.
21-18.6= 2.4%
ahh.. thx for the info about the dealer tip.
so it's 3% tip.

Ok, I guess I see where the 2.4% came from, I just don't see it as useful.
The player is losing at (about) 21%. However the house decides to dole a slice to the crew doesn't seem to change that.
Enjoy the day!
Quote: WizardYou'll note I don't consider the dealer envy in my house edge calculation. I refuse to consider that value to the player as there is no value.
Once I was playing craps with a beginner who was attracted to the sucker bets like a moth to a flame. When she won one of them that had a dealer envy, the dealer's never mentioned they would get a piece. When she tipped them anyway, I tried to stop her, but she didn't listen.

Fielder's Choice is a side bet on craps in B&M casinos (in addition to whatever digital offerings it may have), not sure how wide spread it is, but it has had some installs.
Galaxy added an optional dealer envy to Bonus Craps last year, but only a few properties have adopted it so far. I know a place in MI has it, and I believe somewhere in OH as well (probably more but I haven't asked about it in a while), I believe it was 10% of the winnings, but not sure if it was only for the "all" bet, or the "tall" and "small" as well....
