Thanks Chump.

The house likes that I put 30 on my odds bets that pay 35. They pay 7 to 6 on the 6&8. I like to play the 6&8 even if the point is not a 6 or 8. That has been my style. The pass line only pays even.

Even if the point is established on a 4, a $25 pass line bet only pays $25 if a 4 comes in. If I put a $25 bet on the number 4 it pays $50 minus the vig ($47).

I'll try the wizards trainer to see how it is different if I don't play the numbers and play the come line to see how that pays out.

So you've got the PL bet that only has odds if the point is 6 or 8, and if it isn't, you make a Come bet and hope that point becomes 6 or 8 and if it is you put odds on it. I kind of like this for some reason, but not your reason. I'd likely use it at a $5 table with 5X odds, though I might be allowed up to 10X odds..

PS: $25 odds on the 6 or 8 pays $30, and $30 odds pays $36. Odds bets are in multiples of $5, except on Bubble Craps.
$30 PB 6 or 8 pays $35. PB 6 or 8's are bet in multiples of $6, except on Bubble Craps.

The table minimum I play is usually 15. What do you mean by 5X odds, though you may be allowed up to 10X ? They let me play the numbers 6&8 even if they do not become the point. We must be talking different places with different rules and I've never heard of Bubble Craps.

WizardofBuffalo, do you mean you are PLACING the 6 and 8 for $30 when you say you are betting odds on 6 and 8?

I don't totally get the lingo. I tell them I want 30 on the 6 and 30 on the 8 with the odds. I guess that means I am placing on the numbers. 30 pays 35 on either. This is all about if I should leave that action on when the puck is off after a point has been made.
I have found I can hit the 6 or 8 multiple times before a 7out but it sometimes happens after a point is made and my bets are off.

Its that simple to me. The terminology mixes me all up...

odds of hitting a 6 or 8 are 10/36 against a 6/36 7 out. I prefer to keep the bets working and take the risk to win lets say 35 on my numbers bets on a new come out roll.
