Wizard I love your site. Very interesting. We just got back from Vegas. On Wednesday, my wife had a crazy roll where she rolled 3 11's in a row; an 8 then 4 consecutive 11's followed by 6 consecutive 8's.
I was curious about the odds of rolling 4 11's in a row as well as the 6 eights.
I saw a guy roll 5 hard 10s in a row once, but I was wondering the odds of 4 11's in row? Thanks

Welcome. One 11 happens 1 out of 18 rolls. Since each roll is an independent event the odds of 4 such rolls in a row are 1/18 to the fourth power. Or about 1 in 105,000. (Rounded)
If you start over and ask what are the chances of rolling six 8's in arow, each 8 happens 5 out of 36 rolls. 5/36 to the 6th power. Or about 1 in 140,000.
