I was at such a casino this morning. I tried to get there before the crowds came. I was there at 5.30 am. There was only one table open and it was packed. Shots of Hennessy were abundant. Guys holding cash in their hands while playing like in a street game. Hop this , prop that, etc. The one dealer looked like it was his first time dealing craps. Nervous and fumbling chips. 5 minutes between every roll. I watched for a while as I scouted my opportunity to jump in for a quick score.
I had flashbacks to the old days when I just needed to jump in on the table and play regardless... They were not good memories. So I just turned around, grabbed a coffee and left. Although I didn't play, I feel like I already won as I know nothing good was going to come out of playing on that table. Next session is this afternoon.

Agree.
Quote: WatchMeWinIn a perfect world, I would envision a craps table that didn't have prop bets and hop bets. The inner city casinos tend to have clientele that play them like street games. They slow the game down tremendously and confuse many of the inexperienced dealers. It is slow torture. They are sucker (lottery) bets which attract bad and annoying players.
So, you'd envision a Craps Table in your own house or at a friend's? Because, the casino probably couldn't afford to staff it.

And...here comes the nonsense.
That’s usually the case at $50 tables...Quote: allinriverkingA Casino should make available a game in which the prop bets and one roll bets need to be a red chip min
Frankly, you’re not going to please everybody. Personally, I like to shoot at a $5 table. Otherwise, I’m happy at a $15 table.
What do I mean by that? If I’m shooting, it’s $5 plus full odds. My place bets I start at $15/$18.
And I avoid crap in the middle!
I am speaking for the greatest Dan Mahoney ( a professionals player of the craps) who tells me the prop bets are the very, very bestest bets on table. He says that the most greatest player of the craps (in this solar system) the amazing Las Vegas Supperick learned it to him years ago. One must take what tables is giving you and if prop bets are hitting you should be betting them and making much monies and chips which is what ladies like very, very much.
Dan use to think prop bets were very, very bad bets but after tossing about 20 yoes in a row one day in the Las Vegas without betting on them because the math says it's a very, very bad bet he changed his tunes. Thanks to the greatest Supperick advise he now knows to take what tables is giving regardless of the maths or stupidity.
Thank you very much

How dare you Dan Baloney is the greatest craps player of our time. You would be lucky to deal to him or be in his presence during his craft of the dice rolling.
Now table speed is sometimes an issue and most casinos these days no longer allow "money plays" at all. Its cheques or "no bet". Its stupid, but that is the way it is. And its enforced.
Quote: GlenGWhats even worse, is when there are players who bet the props..and something hits and they owe they house money to stay up lol...they start getting all defensive and annoying because they dont even know the math to these bets.
That's what happens when you play Caesars properties in Vegas and you get ripped off by making "for 1" bets instead of "to 1". Fools get what they deserve.

And don't you just love it when 3 or 4 points have been made, everyone's making money and having fun and one of them walks up and says "hop the sevens"!

Yup, you just know that pesky seven is gonna roll one out of six times that happens!
