Quote: VPPlayerI think it's the same house edge. It's 5 for 1 compared to 4 to 1. Either way you win $4
Oh OK. Got it. That make more sense.
Quote: mikes0805Gambling has no rhyme or reason. Some schmuck can catch an "Any seven" five times in a row and some schmuck like me can catch 5 straight hard eights lol. The question is did you have fun??? lol
I always have fun Mike. But I'm guessing I'll fare just a tad better than someone that makes a living betting the "any seven".
Quote: mikes0805I highly doubt he makes a living betting any seven lol. Glad you had fun, I just got back yesterday from Harrahs right next door ;)
You got that right (it wouldn't be a living). I gave up on Harrahs (I found their comps to be terrible), and find Mont Bleu and Hard Rock much nicer with their recent renovations. Hope you had fun also. The weather was nice this weekend.
interesting opinionQuote: rudeboy99Well, the true odds are 6 to 1, <snip>
and from a dealer too
here is mine opinion (as i have made the any 7 bet at least 10 times in my life)
i say the tru odds are exactly
30 to 6
cuz there r 6 ways for a 7 to roll
1,6
2,5
3,4
4,3
5,2
6,1
30 ways it no roll roll
i say most all dealers are very good at game rules and procedures
but when it comes down to actual probabilities of game events
well,
some say not to trust your dealer
la la tea dah
5! / 0! = ?
cant divide by 0 some say
but winning at craps is all about making the right bet(s) at the right time(s)
best way to crush a house edge of 16.67%
i say
crush it in reality
Quote: rudeboy99Math is my meat
just to make sure you realize it, here is where you made your mistake
the chances of rolling a 7 are 1 in 6 ; this must be what you are thinking. This is usually represented as 1/6
the odds are 1 to 5, usually represented as 1:5; think of a coin flip, it's chances of 1/2 and odds of 1:1 [even money] for fair odds
for the 'any 7' the payoff should also be 1:5 for a fair bet, of course it's the shortpay of 1:4 at a casino
if you go back in the thread I think a lot of the discussion was the 1:5 and 1:4
4 to 1 payoutQuote: bodyforlife<snip>"gotta get my 4/1 payout".
Yahoo!
same as 5 for 1 payout
Yahoo!!
see
both are common i see (C)
yes CAN BQuote: bodyforlifeI'm thinking I must have misheard him, but am really curious now. That can't be.
normal 5 for 1Quote: bodyforlifeThe normal 5/1 payout is still over a 16% house advantage.
and
not
5 to 1
unless you are at Sally's Casino during Happy Hour!
you mean 4 to 1 and not 4 for 1Quote: bodyforlifeIf it's 4/1, this moron is giving the casino over a 32% advantage.
no this moron there
Lake Tahoe beauty... love it
this moron, they are at Casino Moron-go in SoCal
still so funny
Sally says
crush the 7 house edge
fear only winning too much!!
no 3 way 7?
no problem
$300 any 7
stick says "7 out line away.
Hey Hey HEY!!!"
(he did say that)
4 to 1 all the way to the BANK!!!
I don't know how you do it? How you can take something so simple and still confuse me with it? This being over 35 stuff is highly overrated.Quote: mustangsallyinteresting opinion
