The don't pass bet after the point is established.
Quote: champ724guitar didnt pick up his dont pass bet
Do'h!! You are correct. Time for Lasik surgery 8-)
Next time just pick up any $300 that's next to you're bet it's the only way you'll have a chance.Quote: guitarmandpJust to clarify. The $15 flat bet stayed on. I picked up the $300 lay that was next to my bet
Would you buy his don't pass odds after he picked them up in that situation even after such a long session without resolution? (I get the AP play right after the point is established)
Just curious.
that time the guy was on a good roll and it did not make a lot of sense to bet $300 he would not make an 8.
Now he made a seven and all you made was $15.... beat the hell out of losing $300
I would have made that decision long before you did....

If I knew before hand that he would pick it up, I would give him an amount equal to the bet. If it wins, I get the bet and the winnings. If it loses, I only lose what I paid the player. So yes I would. Past results are meaningless.

I'm not placing anything. I'm just taking over someone's don't pass bet they want to pick up.
I know a guy that bets $30 on the donts and then has an $18 6 and an $18 8. He takes his $30 dont bet down after he breaks even for the roll. I'm endorsing this strategy.
A lay bet I'd a bet with 0 house advantage but also 0 player advantage, so the only bet that your hurting yourself to pull is the flat bet after the point has been establised
Quote: champ724i assume the number is not the 6 or 8 so why doesn';t he just place the other number for 30 and either win 12 or 29
I've tried telling him that but I've given up. Some people have there own "system" that they are comfortable with and they will never change
Quote: guitarmandpI am not disciplined enough to be a don't player.
I have the same problem. Last night I bet against a shooter because the entire table was going cold and he kept rolling and rolling until he finally made his point. After losing my don't bet with odds, I decided to bet across. I'm glad I switched it up because he rolled at least 30 more numbers.
