Taking full odds (3 4 5x), are they the same? I know the edge is better on the don't.

They are very close.
This table counts the pushes as an event
I had to look up what Full 2X odds meant.
examples:
$10 pass with $25 odds on 6&8 (so really 2.5X odds on the 6&8) instead of $20 odds
$5 with $10 odds or $5 with $12.50.
or maybe $6 with $15 odds.
Makes for an easy pay by the Dealer of 4X the flat bet.

Full double odds is offered by South Point
All the other double odds casinos I think only offer 2x no matter the point in Vegas unless somebody can tell me another one besides South Point.
Double odds at Fremont and California are worthwhile (IE: fun environment to play) and they have a solid base of regular repeat players.
South Point is one of the worst places to play craps unless you are a tourist and don't care what other kinds of people you're going to run into at the table.
I love California Casino, though. They will take a $2,000 buy on the four and ten. I've seen two people at the same time get paid $3900 twice after pressing a single green chip each into the max bet on that bet there which is $2,000. The max on the pass line is $1,000 there, but they recently changed their max to allow higher bets with no odds on both the pass and don't pass.
The double odds tables at California Casino get more action than most 10x odds tables. The max odds is just one facet of what makes for good craps action if you know when and where to go to have fun.
The table limits (house rules) on odds and place bets are very detailed at California Casino. They will let you bet more on the line and don't pass if you don't bet odds for example.
Stratosphere also has some unusual table limit rules about placing a number after you already have max odds.
Even if you learn all these house rules, they change frequently. The ability to bet more than $1,000 on the pass line if you don't bet odds is a new rule there that's only a few weeks old for example.
