Other palyers actions helping/hurting

Tonight for the first time in a million zillion Blackjack sessions other players incorrect actions (like standing on any stiff V 7+ and not splitting/doubling at all) actually seemed to help my hand nearly every time.
I know that wisdom says it doesnt make a difference in the long run how other players play their hands, but it feels like 99.999% of the time when players play poorly I get screwed constantly.
Tonight tho was the exception and by god it was overdue LOL
