Here is a simple positive progression betting scheme that has been showing good net results over many day sessions. Have tried many a different non-counting schemes as well as simple counting schemes and the following has worked best compared to the others and is showing a net win(thusfar) over 30 day sessions:
Double deck with good rules: After the dealer shuffle, start with $15 min bet. Then up one unit after each win stopping at double the starting bet, so max bet is $30. Example: $15 initial bet, win so next bet goes to $20, lose so next bet stays at $20, lose again so next bet stays at $20, win so next bet is $25, etc.
No regressions on losses or pushes so I call this my No Retreat BJ betting scheme as one unit progression after each win stopping at double the min bet, then start anew with minimum bet on the next shoe and do the same positive progression..
I am NOT saying this is better than the professional counters here, but for some reason this works quite well for me playing with a $600 day session bankroll.

Sounds more like a case of not George being the best, but George's dealers being the worst ;)
