During my first visit to vegas last september I was surprised how difficult it was to find a 'dealer stands on soft 17' game anywhere (not including 6:5 games).

The ones I found on the strip were the MGM-mirage casinos and the encore. I can't remember playing blackjack at any Harrahs casino with these rules.

I'm normally a £10-20 player but in vegas I was ok with the $25-100 minimums to play these tables.

I am currently looking to book another holiday to vegas this summer and would prefer to stay on the strip again. Can anyone tell me if anything has changed in vegas and if the Harrah casinos are likely to have any 'dealer stands on soft 17' tables?

If not I think I will stay at one of the MGM hotels on the south strip.

Don't look for any player-friendly rules at any Harrah's property. However, many of the Harrah's properties on the Strip are excellent places to stay, and to eat. Bally's is ideally placed and surprisingly affordable. The Imperial Palace is probably the best big-box casino room value on the center Strip, and is also in an excellent location.

Just don't gamble at any Harrah's property!

Thanks I will bear that in mind.

We had some fun playing pai gow poker at the planet hollywood and I do remember having some excellent prime rib of beef at the Paris Las Vegas.

My Blackjack rule survey will tell you everything you need to know. As I recall, you'll only find S17 at a Harrah's casino in the high limit rooms.
