TBH i have no clue why I am even starting a thread about this except to confirm that it looks like the worst blackjack game that i have ever seen

The bets that you can make ARE your total that you are choosing for YOUR OWN HAND

It's the scratch-off version of BJ.

This article I found covers the house edges on the bet, otherwise I would calculate them for this forum.

I suspect certain bets to be a bit countable (especially 20), though online casinos usually have very low deck penetration

Just off the top of my head, I'd say the 16 and 17 are more countable!

But the sacred vows taken by card counters, and the fearsome penalties for violating them preclude me from explaining why.

Honestly, your reaction makes sense. A blackjack setup where your bet options are locked to your total hand value feels counterintuitive and player-unfriendly. It strips away strategy, flexibility, and basic control, which are core to blackjack. Hard to see how this design benefits anyone but the house.

It's for the people who find Casino War too boring and complicated.

Another game of subtlety and nuance?
May the cards fall in your favor.

I don’t understand how we can make fun of this game and Casino War but not make fun of Baccarat

harris,

Well the obvious difference is that in Baccarat, the big bettor who actually receives the cards can influence the outcome by "squeezing" the cards and then taking at least 35 seconds to reveal the second card: any less time means the second card will be no good. 😄
