Great website, keep up the good work. In 2007 you posted that you ran simulations that disproved the "third baseman's myth."
Would the difference between the two scenarios change to any significance if ithere was a full table, ie. Player 1 playing correct basic strategy while all 5 players playing the incorrect basic strategy you outlined in the post?

No. The card the dealer eventually draws will be rendomly selected no matter what the players do. There's no functional difference between the dealer getting the next card, the fifth card, or the twelfth card. There would olso be no difference if instead of drawing the next card out of the shoe, the dealer flung it over her shoulder and took the next one instead. In all cases, the next card would be randomly selected.

Jerry, it's the blackjack player in the last position at the dealer's right (or players' left). He always gets blamed for taking the dealer's bust card.
