6/5 spreading
The only $10 games were 6/5, also 8-deck H17. 6/5 is on the felt.
But now they are sometimes raising the minimum on the 6/5 tables to $15, in the two 6/5 pits. So it's possible to get $15 3/2 or... $15 6/5. Folks are content at a $15 6/5 table when there are $15 3/2 tables nearby. On Saturday you often needed to wait for a seat at the $15 6/5 tables.
They get what they deserve. Why should the casinos stop moving to 6/5 if there are enough idiots out there willing to play?
The plan of doing away with chips should do a fine job of turning away the remaining big gamblers.

I would imagine that at that point they would be able to track variations in bet since if it's some kind of digital entry of how many "chips" you are betting they can monitor any spread beyond flat betting. Along with, sooner or later, having real time true count available with the same video setup they have in the stadium games to record the cards as they are dealt.
But then,
I've seen youtube videos from a while ago showing a camera attached to the top of the pole describing the table's game that can captures card images as they are being dealt.
I've read about chips containing RFID tokens that can be tracked by hardware under the betting circle.
There is facial recognition software that will tell you who the guy is sitting at the table, whether he uses a player's card or not.
The technology keeps evolving, but I never see it in the real world where I play. I only read about it.
I'll bet we'll get to the casino in a driverless car long before we see "chipless" blackjack.

I won't play 6/5 BJ, not because of the HE, but because it is really boring to me. Why do you call the players idiots? Is every roulette player an idiot? Every slot player an idiot? Every lottery player an idiot? All of those have higher HE's than 6/5 BJ, correct?
Is a person consistently betting $15 or more at a $10-minimum 6/5 table, when there is a $15-minimum 3/2 table at the next pit over, an idiot?
Is a person who splits 5's an idiot? Or splits 10's? Or hits a 16 against a dealer 5 or 6?
Is a roulette player with a sure-fire system an idiot? A craps player who can manipulate the toss of the dice?
Maybe idiot is not the right word. What word would you use instead?
"Boring" is a word that has subtle secondary meanings that I cannot find in the dictionary.
Can you tell me why 6/5 blackjack is boring? Is 3/2 blackjack more or less boring, or the same?

I used to play BJ in my younger years. For whatever reason the simplicity of the strategy makes it a mind numbing affair for me. I would say both 3/2 and 6/5 would be equally boring, but since in general I don't like giving away EV (money) I would of course play 3/2 if I had to play BJ.
The word I would use instead of idiot is "doesn't care" (ok, that's two words), There are many people who just do not care that they have little chance to win. Or just are not educated enough about odds.
My main point is that if you forced me to play 6/5 BJ or roulette, deal the cards....

If I had to choose between 6/5 BJ or roulette, I would choose roulette, the reason being that 6/5 BJ is insulting. I have never played one hand of 6/5 BJ and never will. I'll play a slot machine before I play insulting BJ. Watching the wheel spin around is "fun" I guess (I've played it only a couple of times in my life).
I enjoy the social aspects of roulette. Was once at a table on a cruise ship and had a great time drinking and meeting people. Someone was betting $100 on 32. Everyone else was betting line $10 (spread across multiple numbers). He bet that single number 5 times in a row, swore, slammed the table and marched off to a new table. Half the table threw money on 32 the next spin and it hit.
