Flamingo used to have DAS on their DD game about 5 years ago or so. Then they changed to NDAS and I haven't played there since. Wonder how they are now?
Once, about 2008, I was playing solo in the early morning at Flamingo's $25 min DD, DAS game. Lost my second K spreading 1-8 so I bought in for another K. Was down about $2,200 at one point and left after 45 minutes about $1,800 down. Then later that morning I left Vegas for Mesquite. Almost to Nellis AFB when I saw smoke coming from my hood. Pulled over and a lot of smoke coming from my hood. Popped the hood and a real lot of smoke coming from under the hood. You know, I only got about 6,000 miles on that new water pump. Had a lifetime guarantee and I was able to buy a new one and take the old one back to the N. Las Vegas auto parts store for full redemption. The manufacturer even paid for my labor charge. And I told them that when I asked the tow guy how much he needed for the approximately 3 mile tow from the freeway to the repair chop he said "$50". So I gave him $50 and didn't ask for a receipt. The manufacturer included that $50 in the check they sent me.
Lost another $1,300 in Mesquite and came back to Vegas where I lost another $900 at Flamingo. So I was down just over $4,000 for the trip. Man, it was nice going to sleep the first night in my comped room at Bally's being about $80 up (before my $1,800 morning surprise at Flamingo). That bed felt like it cost $2,000. You almost needed a small three-step ladder to get into it. And the bathroom floor and vanity area was all marble. Nicest room I've ever stayed in (except for the jacuzzi suite I got once at Sam's Town).
So went my AP vacation.
Quote: GreasyjohnI haven't player there for years. Once I play there and they had DD, DAS, DA2, H17, $25 min. Then, later that day or the next day I went there to play again. This time NDAS. I ask about it and the dealer said, "we never have DAS on our DD game so your dealer was making a mistake if they allowed it." Strange.

When I was there late last year Paris DD was NDAS, if that time frame helps at all... I have no clue why, but for some reason my brain took the thread title to mean blackjack "in" Paris, as in Paris France =p.
One of the BJ tables is S17, DD, NDAS. $25 minimum.
I'm not sure if it's even there anymore as that "high limit" area was like a graveyard.
Quote: ams288Ballys recently added a "high limit" area. Two blackjack tables and one (or two) baccarat tables.

I heard this last year and will confirm on my upcoming trip. I believe I also heard there was a similar area at Harrah's.
A sure sign of the apocalypse is any Vegas CET casino offering a S17 game for less than $200 minimum, which is what you get in the CP high limit room generally.
