Traveling to Glasgow from the U.S. on business, with time for one night midweek to hit the blackjack tables, looking to play for stakes up to ~100 Pounds per hand in high counts.
First, what's the most efficient way to exchange money? (I assume that I will not be able to play in USD!) Also, what should I expect in terms of rules and pen? Where's the most favorable place to play for a counter? What kind of limits should I expect? Thanks for your help!!!

I live on the south coast of England and have not played in Glasgow but if the rules are the same as in England then they are as follows:
6-8 decks
No hole card
dealer stands on soft 17
double any 2 cards
double after split
re-split aces
no surrender
House edge is about 0.60%.
Basic strategy is the same as for standard 6 deck dealer stands vegas rules with only 3 exceptions I think. Rule of thumb don't double or split vs dealer ace.
Most casinos are small by vegas standards although Glasgow is a large city so perhaps there are some larger ones. My 2 local Grosvenor casinos have 3 bj tables each. You might find 10 at one of the Leicester square London casinos.
Min bets are £5 in the places I play and I rarely see anyone stake more than £100 and there is no high limit room.
Most tables have continuous shuffle machines. I have seen some shoes in london so maybe you might find some in Glasgow.
Be aware that almost no one knows the correct basic strategy so bear that in mind if you are someone who gets annoyed by that.
Hope you have a good trip.
