Which casino has the best game as far as double deck? I am planning a trip in the future, possibly to a harrahs owned property because I can get my rooms comped and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on which casinos would have the most favorable playing conditions. Thanks for the help.

Harrah's properties generally have the worst rules on Blackjack (and most other games). But don't let that stop you from staying there. I almost always stay at Harrah's properties and play elsewhere; the Strip is close enough together that it's not hard at all. You will want to spread your play around anyway.
I don't play much DD in Vegas so I can't really answer your question. DD games are, in general, more prevalent downtown and on the outskirts (i.e. non-strip). However, be careful; a lot of DD games are watched closer by security than shoe games. You will want to keep your sessions shorter at DD and be more diligent when it comes to heat.

Some MGM properties have a DD game with good rules. S17, DAS, DOA. No surrender, no RSA (the BJ survey on this site claims that the MGM Grand's DD game has RSA, but that is false. Split aces get 1 card each, face-down).
That puts the house edge around 0.27% (including the cut card effect), which is quite good. The penetration is not bad either.
I've seen this game at the MGM Grand (both inside the high limit room and outside; the game outside generally has lower limits. Usually $100 min, occasionally $50 or $200). I've also seen it across the street at NYNY (in the high limit room only. Either $50 or $100 min, depending when you go). Dealt face-up at NYNY; face-down at MGMG. Not sure about other properties. When I checked at Bellagio, their high-limit game was from a 6-deck shoe. Similar rules, but it allowed surrender (not sure about RSA). It was also a $500 minimum when I checked.

Quote: IbeatyouracesSame DD game at Mirage and usually $25. Also have seen some dealers there let you resplit aces although they aren't supposed to.
Damn, I couldn't find this DD game at Mirage last trip, although I hear about it a lot. I didn't have a lot of time to scout though, so I just sat down at the 6 deck S17 table.

Shed not for her
the bitter tear
Nor give the heart
to vain regret
Tis but the casket
that lies here,
The gem that filled it
Sparkles yet

Is the $10 S17 game still available at MGM Grand? I couldn't find it my last 2 trips.

I've never seen one at $10, but I've heard the "S17 pit" as it's called will sometimes have $10 games during low-traffic times. I've always seen $25 as the lowest min.

Har har, a 6D S17 game (3:2 obviously) is better than 99% of the BJ games in Vegas. I'm not too beat up about it, especially since there was very little heat, if any.
