Went to the casino Friday night with some friends to celebrate my birthday. I play a lot but the two friends I gambled with it was one of their 1st times in a casino and 2nd time for the other guy. Had a great time and we all did very well, it seemed like the dealers were busting every hand. As it was my birthday the supervisor comped our first 2 rounds of drinks (normally you have to pay, Indian casino). We proceeded to pay for several more rounds, at $3 a beer (9 total with a 2 dollar tip per round). We tipped the waitress 5 dollars on each of the two comped rounds, which resulted in her coming by about every 10-15 minutes to see if we were ready for another round which was awesome! We were overtipping for sure, but with how well we were doing we didn't mind. it was a 15 dollar table and my 2 friends flat bet the entire time. I ranged my bets from 15-30 dollars with no real rhyme or reason. We played for about 3 hours and the results were as follows... Friend 1: $100 buy-in, cashed out $350. Friend 2: $100 buy-in, cashed $340. Me: buy-in $200, cashed out $420. These totals were all after paying for drinks (Probably 20 each with the tips) and dealer tips (about 25 for friend 1, 10 for friend 2 and 25 for me. The three dealers we had all really liked us (I wonder why...), and the supervisor really loved us as she gave us each a 25 dollar food comp when I asked if we could get some "dinner" (it was about 2am when we stopped playing and we were all feeling the alcohol). It was great playing with friends for a change as I normally come by myself, and I wisely quit when they did whereas too many times I have kept playing and given back my winnings. I mention we tipped about 60 dollars total for the dealer, and those 60 dollars were all toke bets, and I would guess at least 2/3rds of them won, landing the dealers at least 80 dollars. It was great to see a group of young guys (my 22nd, they are both 21) have some positive variance and be treated so well by the pit. So often service isn't what it should be at casinos, but we had an awesome beverage server, 3 great dealers, and a really friendly and generous floor supervisor who took care of us and seemed happy to see us doing so well. Though my win was moderate it was amazing to see all three of us go home winners (well not go home, I had a comped room that I used too, so even better) and be treated so well the entire time.

glad you had a good night,
i take back (almost) all the mean things i said
about the oneida nation's casino operation... :)
(assuming you were at the stone?)
you are way more generous with the tips,
maybe that improved their attitude.
