Quote: EyewonBeen playing craps a few years and have won a couple of thousand here and there. Last week I bought it for $1000 and started playing. Was down to $300 when the dice headed my way. I usually stick to the pass line and 6/8. I hopped the 6's for $90 and hit 3-3, that's where the fun started. Pressed the bet up to $180 and hit another 6. Went up to $300 and hit 3-3 again, and the rolled a forth 6. Crazy! Proceeded to make six points and a bunch of numbers I bet on. Cashed in $11,800.
Nice hand!
I guess it's possible.
Quote: GWAEYou had 300 left an you hopped 6 for 90?
I guess it's possible.
$30 $30 $30 on the three hops. Had $25 on the line too. Had some more money in my pocket, main reason for hopping the 6 was to try and get a hit and not reload.
Best run was at Mandalay for around 30+ minutes. It's fun to hear the the stick say "He's still shooting," to his relief on dealer rotation. In for $1k out with $2.6k.
My last play was at NYNY, total session was over 4 hours, it was a grind most of the time and did require the extra buy in. It finally got late enough that several players bailed, leaving 3 or 4 of us. A few minutes later it was my turn. I think I made one point then had a come out streak with 8-10 naturals. Went on to make several points enough to get ahead by about $1k.
My play is strict, contract bets only, pass and two come, full odds over $15. (plus tips)
My wife tells me about a time she rolled for about 40 minutes, and she was just doing Come bets and made a couple hundred, but there was a guy on the table pressing like crazy and made over 40K. He tipped her $1000 after the role and she went to Tiffany's. She shows me the ring all the time. :)
1. In vegas at Harrahs I was playing at a super fun table with a group of people visiting from Mexico City. One of them had the dice and started an amazing roll. I usually would start off with maybe $30 on 6 & 8 and after getting a hit I'd drop those bets down to $12 each and lock up a profit for the roll. From there I would use future hits to add more place bets and build from there. This guy kept on rolling and the chants got louder "OCHO"...."OCHO"...."OCHO" when his point was the eight. He must have held the dice for 90 minutes. At one point along the way I looked at my bets and they were anywhere between $300 and $1200! I had all the numbers covered but that was a ton of money at risk. So being a cheap ass I asked the dealer to lower all my bets to a $100 uniy across. I got a huge chunk of money back but the only problem was the guy rolled for another 15-20 minutes! I made $14,000 but always wonder what could have been???
On a sour note one time I was shooting the dice and decided NOT to bet the YO and I rolled 5 in a row! I was sick to my stomach and the dealer couldn't understand why I looked so upset after 5 straight passline winners!
Normally when I shoot I set the dice a certain way and try to throw somewhat consistently. I was having a bad night and when it was my turn again I decided to just throw haphazardly! I would throw high, then low, overhand, switch to lefty! Every toss was different and it was working! What made this roll special was the FOUR! I rolled 13 of them during my roll! Yes that's THIRTEEN! I started with $5 on it and built it up to $2000 by the end! I took a couple of full payouts along the way so could have had it much higher. I rolled a decent amount of other numbers along the way as well as a few points but the FOUR was the star attraction. Profited around 9k for the night.

nice hit!
...Planet Hollywood 2012. Hit a firebet for all six numbers with $10 for $10K (minus $2.5K they take off the top immediately). Two hours later, same table, hit it again for all 6 for another $10K. I wasn't rolling either time. Craziness. This is home base for me and all the dealers I know there still talk about it to this day. Not to mention all the numbers being rolled for the $$ I had in play. Great night to say the least.
Quote:What was it... 30 in a row? Or was that loses in a row, damn how many yo s was it?
Pretty sure it was a Yo on 18 straight rolls...allegedly.
Last year, my buddies and I went to the Mandalay Bay for our annual trip and I changed the way I hold my dice to a 3-V. I rolled for 55 minutes straight, hit the all tall, all small and even hit the all tall once more. I hit 5 points, not great for an hour roll, but I hit 16 sixes . . . no joke. I hit so many hard ways as well. My buddy had $1,200 on six and I had $900 on six . . . that's how many I rolled. I only had $90-$120 on the other numbers, it was hilarious. There were only 5 of us at the table, but after my roll, I cashed out for $4,300, my buddy, $5,400, my other friends, $1,200 and $1,400. The one guy who was at the other side of the table pulled down $8,400. It was a truly epic roll and one that I won't forget anytime soon. My best roll ever, but hopefully not the last.
It got so bad that I short rolled a couple of times, the pit boss went crazy on me saying his grand daughter could roll harder than that. He kept saying the eye in the sky is watching and that he could remove me as a roller anytime if I keep short rolling. I wasn't intentionally trying to short roll, it just happens sometimes.
Quote: zismycat03Ah, my buddies and I have been playing craps together for over 10 years. I initially learned from my co-workers dad who brought a book and a small felt describing the numbers during a lunch. I was in my late 20s. I never had that much luck rolling, but have won a couple of thousands a few times, but generally come out even or a little down.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the hot hand, zis! I'm no dice setter, or even play very often, but I do really well with the flying V 3's too, especially on the ATS. Your great roll is similar to a couple of memorable runs I've had, though none more than about 25 rolls.
For some reason, I can always get the 2, but usually have a terrible time getting 12 to finish the ATS. You'd think they'd be about equal.
