`one morning during the promotion, I had the table to myself. I simply played $5 Ace-Deuce and $5 `Yo each roll, as fast as possible.`

Seems a pass or don´t pass bet would have been required to shoot.

Sancho, it's Card Craps. They just turn over some cards -- nobody "shoots." FWIW, there's also a player advantage on the Don't Pass that he's discovered. Don't know why he didn't play that at the same time for extra E.V. Probably would have slowed down the game.

Edit: Check out the rest of his site for more info on the game. Don't know where you're located but I think only the California casinos have it.

teddys,
Thanks for making that clearer and for the link. I had read about the wrinkle in other fora, but because no one I know expects this thing to rear its odd head in my usual haunts, I passed over those threads.

That Web page definitely raises some questions. They say this game has ``All the usual ways of winning.``

Yet the game appears to allow for just one don´t bet. Some of us like to put down two, three or even more.

Then the study by the analysts in Lakewood, NJ, says, ``The Don´t Pass Line Odds Bet for a point of 4, 6, 8 or 10

actually have a positive average return to the player.`` That´s blatant enough for me. I may just go and try it. Any word on10X of 20X odds?

Several times, the site boasts that the new table saves space, with 9 seats in the about half the space of a common craps table. Most of the common craps tables hold 8 players on a side, with the longer ones going up to 10 on a side (if the dealers can figure out whose bets have gone where).

So far, it does not seem to be ready for prime time. But someone is offering me an edge on laying odds, the chances are they probably do not have a strong understanding of craps or what free odds really amounts to, that could provide interesting pickings for a grinder like me.
