Grand Unified Theory?

I found the reference to it - it stands for "Great Universal Theory."

Apparently, it was first mentioned around 2008 by someone named, or going by the name, "winkel."
The quick version appears to be, in roulette, count how many of the 37 numbers have come up N times and how many have come up more than N times, for pretty much any non-negative integer N; when the difference is 0 or 1, you bet all of the numbers that have appeared N times.

If you watch the YouTube videos listed near the start of this thread (look at the two "Live Play Apps" videos here), you will see something similar, although they are counting something slightly different.

However, even if the theory did hold up in roulette, it would not hold up in baccarat, as the Law of the Third (which, itself, is incorrect) only applies when each of the possible results has an equal chance of happening, which is not true with the results he is tracking in baccarat. Either that, or the probability of a tied hand is always 1/19 (you might want to check out the Wizard's baccarat page to see how accurate that one is).

ThatDonGuy,

Thanks... Sounds like malarkey to me.

Things like this always crack me up. The thing you want in a method or a system is consistency. That's what you're always looking for, that's your goal to win consistently. And none of these these things do that. To find consistency you have to stick with it and stick with it and stick with it and hone it down and hone it down until you finally get the Bare Bones and you might find consistency. And they always start off with the words "it's really quite simple" when in actuality it's the polar opposite of simple. I don't know who this Winkle is but I guarantee he doesn't get it.

This begs the question of why anyone would want to create a system or method if they are so elusive. Your online casinos are offering you so much promo money that it would be hard not to be playing +EV every single day right from day 1. It seems a lot easier to just take all of the bonuses.

And why would consistency be the main thing if you are playing +EV? What is so bad about variance?

I never take the bonuses or anything they offer, why would I. That just seems silly when I'm already plus EV every time I play. I want an extremely small footprint, that certainly doesn't include taking bonuses.

The online casinos in your state are begging you to take hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in bonus money, but you don't want to accept their charity. I can respect that. It is much better to be a roulette whisperer with a small footprint.

You see the word roulette mentioned? I'm only allowed to talk about my specific method of play in my own thread we're not doing that here.

I've already explained why I don't take bonuses a dozen times I'm not going to do it again. You take them, there's a good lad..

Yes, I do. ThatDonGuy linked to Winkel's posts, specifically about roulette, in a roulette-specific forum. And you responded with a paragraph-long rant.

But it's not about my method of play. I'm not banned from talking about gambling I can only talk about my specific method play in my thread. Quit trying so hard, not a good look.

I have to defend EB her. I mentioned roulette in this thread. He did not. I genuinely believe EB would benefit greatly from reconsidering his stance on bonus money, but he has a right to do things his way.

What’s the psychology of so many posters trying to enforce rules and complain for bans?

I've seen this happen on other forums and it never ends well. People get sick of it they just stop posting and they go somewhere else which is already happening here to a certain extent. This place is a shadow of what it used to be just a few years ago because so many of the biggest contributors are just keeping their mouths shut. You know who you are.

Rules and suspensions are a huge part of this forum's "culture." It's kind of odd; I've never seen another forum like it in that regard.
