To be clear, I am not touting a system. I will not be asking for money or advertising anything.
Some time ago I received an invite for a free app/site for sports betting. I am not revealing the name so as to not be accused of being a shill. At this site a player is given $1.00 in fake money. That’s right, one single dollar. The player may then place wagers for as little as one cent on sports events that are listed with current lines.
I devised a betting strategy for sports and started placing one bet every day. I use MLB or the NBA because during the season there are multiple games per day from which to choose. If no game fits my criteria I skip the day.
My balance is now $33.82 after almost 500 wagers. Yes, I have placed one bet per day for a year and a half.
Since the site does not keep history longer than one month I would like to publicly document what I am doing. I am not asking for feedback, commentary or money. I just want a place to be on the record. I will answer or discuss privately but want to avoid any appearance of trying to make money since betting systems aren’t supposed to work.
My questions are:
1. Is this welcome here?
2. If so, what do people want to see?
I was thinking of starting with my balance. Each day I would post a pick then update with the outcome.
I could just create a free blog for this but I thought doing it someplace people might actually care would be more interesting.
Yes/no?

I'd welcome this on the level of what you provided above and nothing further. So if you have a good season and go 65-35 or something I sure hope at the end of the year there isn't a "okay who wants to buy my picks next season?" This is the best way to prove yourself, TO YOURSELF, and possibly to others.
What I'd recommend you listing:
1) Sport
2) Game (team names)
3) Your pick and the ODDS you should get it at... the odds are VERY IMPORTANT. You will NOT win in sports betting if you just say "Take Team A..." Well, what if the odds are -110, or what if the odds moved from -110 when you got it and now it's -150. You will not make money in the long run betting the -150 because of the odds Team A is no longer a pick with value.
4) Reputable sites online or live markets with the current line you listed. This way you can't make up a line and say "I got Khabib in UFC for -150 guys!" because he's a -425 favorite EVERYWHERE and you can't get that price realistically.
Example:
NLF
Bears vs Packers
Packers +3 (-110)
Bovada -110
All of your pics I presume would need to be in CLEARLY (like 30 min or 1 hour) before any games start, and you probably will have to have NO EDIT NOTES on your posts (that way you can't go back and change them after the fact).

Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I think people would welcome honest tracking and posted picks with real lines before the games.
It goes off the rails quickly when you tell us how good you are, direct us to a website or system, tell us how the plays you didn't post won, etc. If you post plays and discuss them, and that's it, win or lose I think you'll find a lively discussion.
Good luck, hope you win.

I’ve not edited a post (though I am going to test on this to see what happens.) Do not worry, I am never going to offer to sell this method. I am doing this to prove to myself it works in a public way that cannot be altered.
Edit: checking to see what happens when I edit.

Nothing happens when you edit within about 5 minutes.... which is why you need to have your picks up 30 min to 1 hour BEFORE the game(s) so that by the time the games start, we'll all know if you edit your original post and it will basically be null and void at that point, unless it's all losers of course, then we'll believe you =P.Quote: es330tdI’ve not edited a post (though I am going to test on this to see what happens.) I've never bet on sports before, so I have no idea how it works. A local casino just opened a sport betting area. Like horse racing, I just don't get it. Anyway, here's my first brush with understanding the game, that I just read for the first time last night.

Sports betting and poker are the only two games in the casino where you are betting against other players instead of against the house. Because of this these are the only real ways to be a professional gambler, imo.

I once thought that too.

Not sure about sports betting yet but I paid for my car with my weekly winnings from a 10-20 limit HE game.
