I am a rather frugal gambler. Get to do it 3-4 times a year either on a cruise or a casino boat. I usually have a modest budget of 1k for the entire trip. I love craps, and love the action. But I could get a job as a cooler in Vegas because of the bad karma and luck that seems to follow me into a casino. Its like my other love, Golf.... I love it so much, and can't hit it straight if my life depended on it.

ANYway....

I have tried several "strategy" attempts, hoping not to win (although that would be great) but really to be able to play for long stretches without burning through the bankroll

So my question is.... Don't Pass with 2 or 3 Don't Come 3X odds on all, replacing if they get hit.... Or should I go Pass with odds and 2 DCs, replacing if they get hit, or DP with Comes... Its hedging, I know, and I can't get ahead in the long run, but again, just looking to have fun, with hour long sessions over the course of a cruise or casino boat.

Again, 200-300 per session bankroll, usually 1k overall for a trip

Thanks for thoughts on the Frugal Gambler

The way to reduce variance in Craps, and stay low HE [less than 1%], is to not take full odds.
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

There's a boat out of JAX daily, often twice daily, why just 3-4 times a year you play? Victory? And there has got to be a story behind the GameCocks? I need more info...
