Wow 6 whole blocks at once? Even as a kid I didn't like taking buses and I choose to walk to school. 3-60 minute walking time depending on what grade and where we lived. 3-5 I lived across from the school. I would ride a Bike whenever I could, but my Bikes never lasted very long for whatever reason. Whatever the case, I made my own snow days and just skipped and went fishing or did whatever I wanted.Quote: EvenBobQuote: mcallister3200Quote: billryanGetting hit by the worst wind storm I've experienced. When I was growing up we had to walk into that sort of wind going to school, and by the time we walked back the wind would change directions.

I had to walk to school six blocks till I was in sixth grade in every kind of weather. We were in the city and schools never closed for snow days in the 50s so we walked to school no matter what it was doing outside. When we moved to the country in 1960 and had to take the bus that's when we started to experience snow days and it was super spectacular to hear on the radio that your school was closed, it was like Christmas morning, and my mother hated it.

Greyhound sold off a bunch of buses during covid and some companies are converting them into some amazing land yachts. We are one of the few local RV parks that can fit them

Six blocks is almost a mile and doing it twice a day as a kid is a lot. Especially in the winter. Especially in the 1950s when you had a lot more bullies then you might think. Some days you had to take alternate routes home if you wanted to keep all your personal possessions. And this was a totally segregated neighborhood in those days black kids went to their own schools. So it was white kids picking on white kids and it got nasty,

I looked up the following because I was curious if there were any helpful suggestions.
“ Try using your RVs stabilizing jacks, wheel chocks, tire cradles, or even mobile home anchors. Some RVs have built-in stabilizing jacks that can be deployed in high-winds. If you don't have that option, several RV anchoring options are available on Amazon and other eCommerce sites.”

My Mother was a good loving mom who always provided. However, she was on the strange crazy side. She had a temper that exploded whenever she absolutely had enough. She loved quoting what she thought was a scripture from the bible "spare the Rod spoil the child" Her weapon of choice was phone cords. She had a paddle that literally said, "the heck with physiology" on it(I guess they sold that in stores back then). They were kinda flimsy and ended up busted.
I was small for my age, but I was a fairly tough and rough kid like a pit bull. We(friends) sometimes played bloody knuckles and punched trees for fun and did all kinds of dumb and dangerous stuff.
Rarely did anyone F with me, not even the older kids. But, I wasn't a nerdy little queer (not a gay reference, so don't go getting your panties in a bunch, people). I think other kids can smell fear and oddness and they target that.
I didn't go looking for trouble, but if someone got out of line with me... it was on, and they got their ass beat, and not just once... if they came back around again.
I did get manhandled by some older D__ (I can't say the word here) chick. I was leery of manly chicks for some time after that. I think I'm still leery of them to this day (-;

Thanks for the help. I have extra stabilizers and some self-adjusting ones, but they didn't help much. What my neighbors did, and I will do in the future was to pull in the slides to make a lower profile and bungee cord the various vents and hatches. They also said to fill the freshwater tanks to add some weight to the center mass.
This was a once every few years type of storm so there isn't much I can do.

I really hope my wife decides to stop driving the youngest to school next year.
It is currently a 5 minute walk, 1 block away. (We walk when I'm home. The 5 minute figure does not include snowball fight related delays. We now have an agreement only to engage in horseplay after school.)
Next year, she should change to a different school, directly across the street.
I Am not buying it.
My Wife was watching this show and explained what the deal was. I stayed tuned for the rest of the episode.
I just didn't believe Jazz was actually born a male.
Are they actually claiming that, I don't know, but certainly most people think that's the case, and it's the narrative they want you to believe. SHE, Acts, talks, and looks like a female, even at a young age. I believe she was born a female and is a female.
I watched some older clips and did some googling.
I noticed she uses this wording whenever talking about it. "assigned male at birth" Whatever that actually means? I haven't seen anything where she or her parents says she WAS born a MALE at birth(I didn't take much time looking so it's possible)
I could be totally wrong, but Im very skeptical.

"Assigned male at birth" is just a fancy way of saying "this baby has a penis." Jazz was born a male, but has been living as a girl/woman for many, many years. I don't know what surgeries she's had (if any) because I don't care about her that much; I'm just vaguely aware of her as a person.

Assuming the slot games hold 10% and that's -14,000 you are supposed to lose if you were to actually always complete the wagering requirements. Obviously, if you lose all you're money you don't have to complete the WRs, so it's actually less than the -14k expected loss.
The maximum bet is $10, I don't know what kind of slots they have so it's hard to know how often you'll go broke vs hitting something significant where you can easily finish the WRs(That's the key to all this, and knowing if you have +EV or not)
Concerns I always have related to this stuff.
1.) Do they have separate slot payback percentages during bonus mode? They could be holding 20%+.
2.) Is there a take-down mode once you complete x amount of your wagering requirements?
It seems to happen far too often that when you're on course to easily complete your wagering requirements suddenly you start losing at an unprecedented rate.

Have you ever tried scanning one in small pieces. You wouldn't have to cut it up, just lay blank paper over it, or paper with a small cut out squares. Then stitch the image together.
Even if that works, it's possibly illegal. I disclaim all responsibility for that suggestion.

I doubt it is illegal unless you try to pass it off as real.
The key is to use older bills, older scanners, and older printers. I think it was around 2004 they started printing things on bills that scanners and printers recognize and are programmed to fail on.

My friend Bobby was sentenced to seven years in jail when he was 19. In prison, he learned the printing trade. He was out about three months when he was arrested for document fraud. I don't know all the details, but he conspired with a used car salesman to defraud people and did a few more years. He was released and came back to town, living with his parents. During a routine home check, his parole officer found hundreds of dollars bills in various degrees of bleaching. He got an extra 5 years added to his sentence and died in prison.
He was a bit of a wild kid, but I never considered him a career criminal. He found a running car in someone's driveway and took it for a joy ride.
the IRS has a nice benefit for older, retired persons who have experienced market gains and now want to do something else with their money
long term capital gains (an asset held for more than one year) are not subject to Federal taxation if the individual selling has income less than $41,675 or a married couple filing jointly has income less than $83,350
for tax year 2023 the max income to pay zero tax on long term gains has been increased to $44,625 for singles and $89,250 for joint filers
even wealthy, younger people pay much less tax on long term gains - the max is 20% - short term capital gains are generally taxed the same as ordinary income - so high income people generally have to pay a high % tax on short term gains

The USA differs from nearly all other countries in that :
1) capital gains are taxable (along with essentially every type of financial gain imaginable). Even in the case that you pay no capital gains tax due to low income bracket, you still must report all capital gains
2) as an American “person” (which means citizen, but can also mean former citizen, permanent resident and other things), you are taxed on all your worldwide income no matter where you live in the world. This of course includes gambling winnings!

I can certainly understand how that might be interesting to locals or people in the region who'd heard of him, but I'd never heard of the guy and cannot understand why it would be newsworthy on a national level.
People slaughter each other daily; what really sets this one apart?
Whatever, I simply thought it wasn't worth the coverage it got, e.g. live national TV broadcast of the trial.
