I missed too many days on VP.com, so I am hopeless for the Winner's Challenge and MyVegas has been pi$$ing me off lately, so I might just collect my coin and wait until I have a ton to play, so this will be my new +ER time killer.

There are 4 ways to get points.
1. click on the daily game. You get 250-1000 points
2. click on the keys on the 2 areas that they tell you. 200 points each.
3. answer the daily question. 300 points
4. play a game and beat your high score. 100 points for beating your high score.
We have been planning our trips based on my getting 100k points. When you get 100k you get a day pass to the VIP room. The food in there is not that great but it gives us a lunch and dinner option on a Saturday. Then we use our free food money at the food court for desert.
My bigger problem is I am cruising right before this, and will have all of my BR on that trip. If I hold my own, then I will have BR to play with in PA, otherwise it would be a long trip for no craps play for old RC. :-(

Mission, have you thought about asking the casino if they would reserve a craps table for the group? I think you have more than enough craps players to fill the table. I'm not sure if the casino will go for this or not. Guess it depends on how busy they are on Sunday afternoons. Couldn't hurt to ask.
When I was there it was around 2pm and there were 3 $5 tables and each of them only had 1 or 2 people playing. Of course on our day it will be super busy for some random reason.

We're good, I just called and he put us down on the calendar for that day. He said there will probably be three tables going, anyway, but if we can give them a fairly specific time that we are going to start playing and guarantee a full (or almost full) table, and I call a week in advance, they should be able to get us taken care of.
I also have to call someone from Terrace about a week ahead of time to try to orchestrate that, he says they run a different thing every month, so it is kind of difficult to tell what they will be doing as the Prime Rib buffet should change to something else in February and that should become something else in March.

Also, anyone who has a card already could go to their website and do the webpass game. You may even be able to sign up for the card there and still do the game but I am not sure. With 43 days till the meeting you could get 40-50k points and redeem them for some things. If you play the games smartly you could get 100k. You get points everytime you beat your high score so if you play until you beat your last one and then end game you could earn a lot of points.
50k points gets you a $10 food voucher.

ETA: Has anyone done the prime rib buffet? I am curious as to what this is. I am guessing it is just a tiny buffet like a wedding would be.
Yeah the high score thing is a great way to get easy points. Just do the minimum and then slightly better each time and rack up the points. Spread out over all the games that's thousands of free credits pretty much.

you can for sure. I was playing the snake game and would literally get 10 points higher then die. I did it about 300 times until my score got high enough that its hard for me to get my high score now. I also did it with the golf game. I wasted a lot of time but it was time that I was just watching TV anyways.

I have never been to Meadows but I signed up on-line to play the Webpass game. It seems easy enough to collect daily points. It takes time of course but I've had some time to fritter away lately. Some of the games don't take long to play and you earn a few points for getting a (slightly) higher score (hint hint).

Normally I cash in 100k points to get a pass into the Adios room which is the high level card only room. They have a bunch of TVs, free buffet, and a cheaper bar. For the meetup I don't know that it would be worth it since we are eating dinner elsewhere.
They have a pass to the clubhouse for 50k points but it is not worth spending points on that. You can get cheaper drinks but there is no food. There are some slot machines in the room but they are not different than in the rest of the casino.

When you get the adios pass you can bring in 1 extra person with you. Even with the free pass.
When I was in the Adios last month the menu was the same for lunch and dinner. Actually I think the food stayed out the entire time. This was also a Saturday so I don't know if it is different on a Sunday.
You get free pop from the bar and I think bottle beer is $2 and mixed drink is $3 but don't quote me on that.

Grilled chicken (whenever they ran out of chicken they put up some kind fish, then ravioli, the another type of fish)

pasta salad
rolls
desserts varied throughout the day
The food is so/so. It is good enough for me to always use my webpass for it but I am not a picky eater.
I think the terrace is better for a get together. I assume they have the ability to put together a bunch of tables so we can sit together. The adios room only has small tables so we would be sitting in groups of 2 and 4.

I've been collecting Webpass points and I will have plenty enough for the Terrace coupon by the time this rolls around. I was in airports this past week so had time to mindlessly play the CHOMPER game to get high scores. That game doesn't take too long to play, and as far as I can tell it resets your high score to zero whenever you log out and back in.

nope, mine has worked each day. Try logging out and back in. If that doesn't work then try clearing your browser cache.

There are also 2 screens, one isn't really the game. Try clicking EARN after you log-in.
PS:
The EASTSIDE CANNERY in Las Vegas is part of the same Casino Group and they have the same sort of WEBPASS set-up that MEADOWS has, exept a bit better. You can exchange points for Freeplay at the Eastside Cannery. So I'll probably add that to my list of things to do. I think Boulder Station is close by and could catch a movie there to take a break from the Casinos.

Done that and cleared the cache. Still a nogo. Trying to update flash as it worked until friday or so. Any other ideas welcome.

I would try a different browser to see if the problem is linked to the web browser.
If I come back from the cruise with money, I really want to come, but the meeting times are not good for flying. So it would have to be a drive, and an overnight stay.
If it was a casino hotel, I feel very comfortable that I would be able to score a room comp, but I get the idea it is hotel/motel here.

There is no hotel attached to the casino but they have partnered up with a few local hotels which have free shuttles. If your play warrants a free hotel room a host will get you one but I am not sure how that works since I am far from that level. Based on my monthly flyer the ones that they are partnered up with are Cambria Suites, Hilton Garden, and Double tree. I usually stay at the Double tree since it is the closest and has the nicer of the rooms. They don't give you a free breakfast though.

The only item that remains needing voted upon is what time we are going to eat dinner, and keep in mind the WoV East trivia challenge will be scheduled for after we are done eating in which the winner will win a prize, though I'm not sure what yet.
Let's go ahead and put dinner time to a vote, we are planning to play Craps shortly after the Meet & Greet, so I want to suggest the following times for an initial vote.
4:00 OR 4:30
5:00 OR 5:30
6:00 OR 6:30
7:00 OR 7:30
First, we will take five days to vote on the hour, and then we'll narrow it down to the half hour. I have decided to vote for 4:00 OR 4:30, so that has one vote.
Regarding craps, what I would like would be guidance on playing the don't pass. My perspective on it is that there really isn't that much difference, since I can't see the future and have not practiced guessing numbers, but it would be nice to know how to do it.
Anyone care to create a proposition bet that could be made between the right way and wrong way bettors?
Kind of hard to do a win-loss bet, since the amount wagered is different.
I suppose we could do a win-loss on only the PL/DP base bet?
PL wins only on a come-out 7/11, or a made point.
PL loses only on a come-out 2,3,12, or a 7 out.
DP wins only on a come-out 2,3, or a 7 out
DP loses only on a come-out 7,11, or on a made point
We keep track of the above results.
1 point for each win, -1 point for each loss.
I think this would make a fairly even proposition bet, with the DP side having an ever so slight advantage.
And it wouldn't be too hard to keep track.

We can just wing it for proposition bets. The simplest thing would be to restrict such to a short period of time. People will not all be at the table at the same time.
This still stands, though. It may get modified. If Mission is unwilling to participate, someone else can be agreed to.

PS: the darkside thing was if we all jointly agree to making it a Darkside table, passing the dice to the last guy who 7-d out. If this has no appeal, or doesn't predominate the time we use the table, the former challenge will hold sway.

Never done it but seen more than one "reserved" table in casinos. IMHO is up to the boxman or floor to eject outsiders.

Good question. Another good question is, should we insist on a reasonable minimum beforehand? $5 would be too much to hope for, $15 would slightly suck, and more than $15 would piss everybody off.
