Some math help.....

Love your website, and all the info you provide!! Here's an interesting question for you...In
playing another version of 3 card poker, called 3 card lowball poker, whereby the objective of the
game is to have the lowest point, ie: best possible hand is A, 2, 4, unsuited, equal to 7 points.
Aces are 1 point, face cards are 10, and others are face value. No pairs, straights or flushes
wanted/played. There's another difference in lowball; the players are allowed 2 draws/swaps
(rounds of betting) up to 2 cards on the first draw, but only 1 card on the second (if needed/
taken). After all bets are placed and final, cards are shown for payoff, lowest hands wins.
Seems pretty straight forward, right? Not necessarily, my question is this: What number would
the dealer have to stay and play as a qualifier? Is it 3, 4, 5....Relative to the mandatory "Queen
qualifier" in regular 3 card poker to afford the house an edge of between 3-4%? Hoping you can
provide that "magic" number to keep the house edge competitive in this lowball version. Thanks
so much!

CasinoQueen,

Welcome to the forum! Interesting question, and I think there are people who can answer it here. Could you please move it (copy and paste) into a topic thread, probably under "Other games" or "Poker" as you prefer. Hardly anyone reads the blogs, compared to the topics, and the topics formatting is much better suited to a discussion. Thanks! (I would move it myself, but then it would appear under my name, and it should show under yours.)
