The first step to going to Burning Man for many is getting a ticket in the Main Sale. As an economics major, I don't understand why they do this, but the organizers sell about 10,000 tickets at about 1/3 the normal price. One must jump through some hoops to get one of these coveted tickets.

The first hoop is to sign up for the Main Sale. The 48-hour window to do this starts tomorrow (March 23) at noon (presumably west coast time). You will need a Burner Profile to register, which anyone can do. Once you have one, here is a link to where to register: Main Sale Registration Opens.

Even if you have no intention of going to Burning Man, you sure would score a lot of friendship points if you managed to get some tickets at the Main Sale price and passed them on. Unlike in 2020, I will not be begging you to enter for me. Just do what you want.

The question for the poll is will you attending Burning Man 2022?

I'm signing up with no intent to attend. If I am successful and do not succumb
to the temptation of my Evil Mistress Greed I will get in touch.

I also signed up with the only intent of passing the tickets on to the Wiz if possible.

I voted no, that you’d have to pay me. Truth is, if I was in town at the time, I’d consider going. Of course, I had to dig through that website to find out when the damn thing is: Sunday, August 29 to Monday, September 6, 2021.

I have been offered to go in the past pre-pandemic since I know someone who works for BM, and I told him it was definitely a HELL NO! Turns Reno into one of the dirtiest cities in the world. Our streets turns to gray from all of the dust. It’s incredible. Don’t understand why they don’t hold it someplace else where it’s not so dirty. Plenty of BLM land around the West.

Best video ever produced about Burning Man. I never wanted to go until I watched this video.

I guess that's what Baskin Robbins sells so many different flavors. I had no interest before the video, and none afterward.

If someday Burning Man were to switch to a music festival and had Duane Allman and Jerry Garcia as the headliners, I might change my mind.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.

BM Videos always reminds me of the movie Mad Max with Tina Turner.

Less than 48 hours to register for the Main Sale. This is the button you need to click.

This is what you want to see.

Just saw a post on Facebook from my cousin. She went to Burning Man. I had no idea she was a Burner. Her husband is a renowned artist that has no problem getting tickets. She's actually trying to get her husband to go. My nephew was blown away by my cousins post. Looks like if he wants to go, tickets shouldn't be a problem.
Its just a forum. Nothing here to get obsessed about.

I answered no. Wish I had gone when I first heard about it nearly 30 years ago… Has it really been that long?!?
Expectation is the root of all heartache.
