Summer wind -Frank Sinatra

Frank is my favorite singer. Influence of my older roommate. I start each morning listening to some "Frank", although the last few months, I have been getting into some Elvis song as well (especially some spiritals and less known songs). My younger roommate and younger brother who is visiting for the summer, constantly make fun of me for these selections, but like most things, I just don't care what others say or think. I am who I am. :)

Before that listened to Elton John 6-15-14 Bonnaroo Music festival, Manchester TN
Levon, incredible performance, best Levon I have ever heard. Elton put out for the Bonnaroo crowd, the piano jam at the end was fantastic. Elton was ON.

I pretty much just listen to live music. Its the real deal, no studio tricks , no recording tricks, just the actual real human performance.

I love the idea of this, but the crowd noise annoys me. I know, I'm weird.

I audio record alot of concerts. Its an old Grateful Dead thing.
My mics are way up in the air on a mic stand, very little chatter being picked up and mics are directional.

That definitely sounds better. No pun intended.

Latest track

and the classic Concrete Schoolyard

I found this one recently, sorry, the youtube tag here stalled... linked

This one I found quite a while ago, still gets airplay.
***WARNING*** EXPLICIT LYRICS ***

This one is rather cultish, late 80's-early 90's band.
Clint Mansell is the leader (you may have heard "Requiem for a Dream" Soundtrack among others)

One more Cult Fave... just a link.

Excellent taste I forgot to add. You may also sample some Nat King Cole. I wish you could still see acts like this in Vegas. I know there's a Rat Pack tribute act, but from what I hear the room is lame and lacks the vitality of the original. Oh well, no sense trying to turn back the clock. There is plenty of exiting music in my home town.

Spent the best part of my university years listening to Pop Will Eat Itself, and watching them live too. I find oddly amusing Clint Poppie went from Greebo, grungy music that was partly a joke to getting awards for film sound tracks.
