Quote: RomesOverall I don't think the hotel comps are "too bad" with Caesars.
Maybe not Caesars in Vegas, but Caesars AC is the WORST with Comp rooms and food comps to anything less than Diamond tier.
I recently had a trip here 2 weeks ago, on a Sunday night, where the place was fairly quiet and seemingly would have been accommodating to a Platinum card holder with over 6600 tier credits and visited CET properties almost every week for the last 5 years.
I did happen to turn a profit over $500 and was trying to leave on the late night bus back to Union, NJ. However, the 3:15 AM bus was cancelled and the dispatcher said the next bus would not be available until 5 pm. My host was not working that night and I asked a floor person by the name of Anthony if he could look for a room for the evening. It was about 3:30 AM and I had been playing for about 5 hours that night. Within seconds, he swiped my card and said "You only have 95 cents!"
I said "Okay, but I'm looking for a room and don't you have any comped rooms"
He replies "You only have 95 cents in your account, I can't comp you a room."
Rather than argue with this simpleton and waste my time. I took my card back and headed over to Tropicana. It was about 4:40 AM and I asked the first floor person I saw for a room for the evening, he said "I'll check for you"
Within 10 minutes he returned and said, I have a room but you can't check in until 5:30 AM. I said "Great, thanks so much". I went and had breakfast, checked into my room and have not gone back to Caesars since. I truly doubt I ever will play at CET properties, except MAYBE in Vegas.
But it's little things like that lose loyal customers and I fully intend on writing a letter to my host and see what their response is.

I’m not really a high level player and they comp me pretty much any weeknight in AC, weekends are usually a different story though.

This is when the right play is to use the app to book a comped room for Monday night and pay the $20 to check in early at 4am Monday morning. Then, Monday afternoon before your bus leaves, talk to a host about the early check-in fee.

Phone battery was dead, otherwise I would have booked it online. The only reason I didn't book the room before 12 AM on the website was because the no-show fee is more than the taxes & resort fees combined and I planned on leaving anyway.
And in any event, it seems like an awful lot of trouble for me to go to when these alleged Floor Managers should be able to handle this themselves. Especially when it's slow and all it takes is for them to make a phone call and get a loyal customer something they have been offered.
Went over to a real customer friendly casino in Trop and got what I needed in less than an hour with no early check in fee or argument. Seems pretty simple that Trop knows how to treat loyal players and CET doesn't.
