But if you "sell" you rooms...your CET offers won't be affected...HOWEVER, if you swipe your TR card at ANY outlet, for ANY reason, you will then be "tripped".
Believe who you want, but just know that I make it my passion to research this exact topic...
Alan,
What happened with yours, is once your card was entered in the system as "paid with points", it actually GAVE you points, for using points...(it happened to me at Flamingo, it "tripped" me simply for using my TR card to get a discount at the buffet)
Quote: AlanMendelsonFor comped tickets the procedure is this: the person in whose name the comped seats are reserved must show up at the box office with ID.
Scalping tickets is possible off site. Take your comped tickets, leave the casino and sell them outside the property. I tried to GIVE AWAY a comped seat to Celine back in March and security was all over me. I stood by the entrance to the Colosseum and as people walked by I said "one ticket free." Security was all over my ass. When I explained my wife couldnt make the trip they told me to turn in the ticket to the box office.
Later I just stood there about to go in when a lady was telling two friends to enjoy the show -- and I asked her if she was going to see the show too and when she said she didnt have a ticket I gave her my extra.
That sounds like more hassle then it is worth. I guess I'll just take the rooms included with the tickets and not go to the concerts. I'm not part of the demographic that goes to the events they keep comping me for lol.

I was only going to swipe my card for the freeplay, but that gives them only the amount on the freeplay. I guess I'm gonna have to chance it. I don't play to put my money in CET properties anymore anyway.... their VP is horrible.

How do you "sell" your rooms? You can't sell your rooms. You can't transfer comps. You have to use your comps by checking in and showing your ID. The TR computer is tied in with the hotel computer, obviously. You check in to use a room and you are tripped.
In my case, only some of my comp points were used to cover the outstanding balance that my sister-in-law's and aunt's play didn't cover. In fact, only about a hundred dollars of my comp balance was used -- their play covered the rest. I don't think I got any credit for their hotel, restaurant charges or anything and I think it went to their own comp accounts.
Literally, they signed me into the room just so they could save a hundred bucks. That hundred bucks of comps used from my account probably cost me more than a thosuand dollars worth of offers for the next quarter and maybe longer.
Quote: sevenout77Can always call ahead and tell casino hotel the name of the person(s) (you would have to put them on as your guest) that you have made the deal with and that you are giving permission to have your guest(s) pick up your tix at the hotel desk or VIP that should solve issue.
Have you ever done this?
