I dislike starting new threads for everything someone might find interesting, I do like reading what others on the forums find interesting and keeping up with the latest gambling/casino news. Sorry if there is a thread already dedicated to this(It's obviously not being used).
I will start it off. Compliments of my wife (I still can't get used to saying that)who told me about this story, she knew I would find it interesting.

With the low limits on this type of stuff I don't know how bloody the bath really was. I have a feeling the publicity was well worth the hit any one place may have taken. I wonder how many books were taking action on this and what the total amount they lost was.

Fwiw, I felt the same lack, started one about a year ago, it's gotten used now and then. I don't have any problem with you starting another.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Eons ago, Stalag 17, was filmed in chronological sequence with each actor receiving only a few pages of the script a day or so before the shoot. This was done to keep the actors from inadvertently tipping the audience to the identity of the snitch amongst them. Other than that film, few things in 'Hollywood' remain secret other than the eternal mystery of where the income went.
Game Of Thrones a/k/a Sopranos Come To Middle Earth, has had a huge financial impact, particularly on the travel industry. Currently there have been ads about Bingewatching GOT.
Nothing stays secret when there are so many greedy hands and the money is so easy to make, I doubt the bookies were unaware that movie locations leak like a sieve.

I remember when books would take bets on the winner of Survivor, and you would pretty quickly watch the odds on two or three of the people drop like a rock. Would really ruin the suspense of the season if you paid attention.
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but that is the way to bet.

Are they required to say this? It seems to me that anytime someone hits this its after $20 or $40. I guess most people only put in $20 to $40 at a time.

It seems as if people hit these things early on. I've never read about a person hitting a megajackpot after their fourth trip to the ATM.

Bethpage Black has been known to swallow the unsuspecting. Most unforgiving course I've ever seen. So for this tournament, they eliminated the few gimmies and made the whole course lightning fast. It should be entertaining.
