Happy Thanksgiving to all fellow forum members and their families! Made the Mohegan Sun buffet this morning just in time to use our Coffee Club cards after checking in to hotel room. Buffet has a nice spread, but yeah, no Thanksgiving theme at all. They go straight to Christmas decorations after Halloween. All-you-can eat great food for two at the buffet, less than $10 total off accumulated Momentum Dollars after applying Coffee Club cards. Had two omelets, since the price was right. Will see the Asian dance show in a bit, then Turkey Day dinner at Tuscany this evening. All comped. Wife is hitting the slots. NOT comped. I'll search for a comfortable bar seat with a video slot and football on the screen. Perhaps I'll get a blackjack jones later and circle the $5 tables. Life is good, much to be thankful for this year. I hope that is so for others reading this.
Will visit the folks up north Saturday. Was glad to avoid traveling in a bitch of a storm last night. Casino pretty empty this morning, many buses postponed or canceled due to the weather. I expect things will pick up as the holiday meal ends for many and they head to the Sun.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
I didn't even check what the various casinos in the area were offering or if there were any sort of turkey related specials on the various gambling boat cruises.
I gave the cat an extra portion of Temptation Treats and gave the feral cats extra portions too.
To those who are lucky enough to be going to a casino today, good luck to you, even if its an Indian casino offering 6:5 blackjack.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the forum!
This will be the first year in quite a few that I am not planning to be at a casino for this coming weekend.

Just got home from the annual Turkey Bowl. Only here because I sat down and now I can't get back up.
As always on Thanksgiving, I'll give thanks for hot water and pharmaceuticals. And when I eventually make it back to a standing posture, I'll be thankful for that, too.
Best holiday ever!

Not much places were giving out turkeys for play this year, or I wasn't paying attention. I played at south point earlier in the month and instead of picking it up and lugging it to the shelter I donated it at the players club. Hopwfully they didn't just keep it for themselves.

Lesson learned: putting a cooked, then refrigerated, sliced turkey breast in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes to reheat it does not work as well as you might think. Next time, I'll stick to the microwave.

First Thanksgiving since my dad passed. About 2PM here I was starting preps for mom (90 YO) for dinner and its snowing a little. Not storm, just snowing. Looked real nice. Got dinner together (Turkey, Cranberry Jelly, Sweet Potatoe, Idaho Potatoe, Corn&Lima Beans, Pumpkin Pie a la mode and Coffee) in time for 5PM. My first dinner at age 57. Worth it, especially when the Iggles trounce the 'Boys.
