If your going to get a hooker get one that can cook.

Check around there where the most americans hang out someone will have a turkey connection, is there a u.s. military base?

The gourmet meat places here in the states will all ship, already cooked turkey's, you phone is your friend, you are worth the shipping costs!

There may me an American red cross around there.

If that won't work they must have little Cornish game hens or some small birds whole around there. It's not a turkey but very similar. I know they have potato's. Get one of them small birds and stuff them with stove top stuffing mix and a can of yams. Voila, a few drinks and some nostalgia and the feast begins.

Just hooking up with somebody that's already putting on a meal in style is rewarding as well for the soul. You can definitely get a fine bird shipped.

Good luck and enjoy your meal, can't you get the nfl on your internet? Green Bay is Playing Detroit thanksgiving day. A few beers and some bird and a game, all will be well.

You give great advice bud, thanks.

A few problems I have........

1) There is a US military base around but it is 200 miles away from me and I don't get the day off work because they don't celebrate Thanksgiving.
2) Getting food sent from the US will take too long as I didn't think about it in time (darn)
3) Football is out because of the time difference and as mentioned, I don't get Tanksgiving off :)

Having mentioned all these things, your positivity has been infectuous and I'm goingt o cook myself a makeshift Thansgiving dinner with chicken (the other white meat :) ) and some veggies.
What I will do is skulk around Best Buy website, Walmart website and so on to see if I can secure a couple of good black Friday/Cyber Monday deals. That will have to tide me over until I get home next week :)

Thanks again for the suggestions!!!

Yes! Tgiving has been moved to my sister in laws
house! I said I might show up for dessert, but I
lied. Around 7pm somebody will notice I never
showed up at all. I can stay home, watch the Lions
game, drink beer and eat enchilada's for dinner.

I just took a turkey there and it was locked with a keypad next to it. The inside just looked like any old bar. I have no idea what I walked into but saw the "VFW" sign and assumed it was the right place.

@Tomspur, how did your meal come out?

Here is what my meals looked like yesterday (my official Thanksgiving).

Lunch: Sheep stomach with Korea sausage (made of noodles)
Dinner: Oyster starters with pork belly grilled on the BBQ, fried tofu and sweet rice.

All in all, I had one lunch and one dinner party. The food wasn't traditional but the people were great to spend time with and at least i wasn't on my own :)

Hope you are having a good day with the family bud!

Football results seem to be going as predicted. Not sure what the spread was for the Cowboys game but winning by a touchdown must have been a close shave?
