Quote: MakingBookOn Cyber Monday, I booked Imperial Palace/Quad at less than $14 per night! And that's the weekend rate! (Dec 20-24)
I booked Flamingo for $7.50 per night (12/21 - 12/24) last month...which I'm going to go with...but I'm going to TRY to get into Rio (large standard room).
Quote: AcesAndEightsSomeone here tried to do DIAD playing Blackjack a while back, and if I remember correctly, they failed/gave up because the casino was not forthcoming with him about how close he was getting, so he had no idea if he was close at all or not...
I may have made that up, but I'm pretty sure I remember reading it.
That sounds familiar too. If I was making a DIAD attempt on a table and they acted that way to me, I would have just got up, diddle around/play video poker for 10 minutes, then reinsert my TR card in any slot/video poker machine to see how my Tier Score changed that day.

That's freaking awesome! How/where do you find a rate like that?

I don't think that would work - in my experience your account doesn't get credited for table game action in real time, even if they are using the electronic systems present at most casino pits these days.

Flamingo/Bally's were offering ridiculous rates last month over the "dead period", esp if you used a TR card to book it. I saw flamingo as low as $8/night at one point I think.
I'll be at Bally's Sunday thru Wed. at $15/night. Probably will try the "$20 trick" to upgrade though.

I dunno about tables since I don't play them a lot, but at live poker is usually credited to your account within minutes. Tables may be more delayed though since it is the pit boss who has to notice you left. In poker, the dealer immediately punches you in/out.

Quote: TIMSPEEDWell, I heard back from a host...obviously he wanted my info...which is pointless right NOW...I told him I'd get in contact with him on Monday..once I REACH Diamond....(so at least he doesn't think I'm just trying to scam a free room)
I say, give the host your info, and ask any questions you have about the promo. If he offers you a free or discounted room, great. Probably they will want to base it on your level of play, but you never know. If the rooms are that cheap at this time it might cost marketing very little to give it to you so it might be worth the risk to him.

I have basically NO level of play (I have 392 RC for the entire year; and I think 8 "tier" points)
I dunno though...with $8 per night rooms...even IF they're at Flamingo..it's hard to want to drop $30k coin-in (probably have a REAL WORLD loss of $300) in order to stay at Rio....but I really do like Rio, lol...

You just have to politely ask them to enter your play as you leave the table. At the Rio they will always accomodate you. I don't think they will award your credits while you are still playing.
