This thread is telling me that a lot of you havent been in Vegas in a long time. No wonder you aren't aware of the conditions here -- how the Strip is no longer safe, how the clientele at the big casinos have changed for the worse, and how service has dropped.

Oh well.

To answer some of your questions.

Yes. Gold Strike and Nevada Landing came to MGM along with Circus Circus Enterprises. Those two casinos were used for training new dealers.

Nevada Landing was closed as part of MGMs aborted plan to develop a Jean subdivision.

Silver 7s is the casino that used to be Terribles. Its run by Affinity. Terribles has no connection to it now

The Primm Casinos are hanging on. Buffalo Bill's not only closed but to be politically correct the big sign had the Indian face changed to a bull face within the head dress. Go figure that one out.

The outlet mall at Primm is barely hanging on and even before Covid it was almost closing.

The I-15 is NOT being widened to accommodate more car traffic. The only thing that was announced a couple of months ago was that California would add a lane at Primm in an attempt to ease the congestion at Primm for traffic returning to California. As of a week ago there has been no work on adding that extra lane. That's when I made my last drive to SoCal.

Personally I am disappointed that Terribles chose not to reopen the former Gold Strike. On trips in years past I liked playing $3 craps there. But the craps game was removed when Terribles bought the place.

There is still a tub craps game at Primm with one dealer. A small table with one dealer. And an aircraft carrier table with a regular crew that is open only during peak hours (if there are peak hours) -- all at the Primm Valley Resort.

Whiskey Pete's replaced their sign "last chance to get even B4 leavin'" with "come on in there's room to spin" to indicate social distancing.

I havent seen the tram operating between the two properties since Covid started.

I dont know what happened to the exotic car collection inside Terribles. It was worth five minutes.

You'll have to explain your comment to me. I'm clueless as to the meaning.

It is a play on the Land O'Lakes butter package change. People think an image of an Indian is offensive or something. So they take away the image of the Indian but keep everything else. Same as how Indians were taken away to reservations and forgotten about 130 years ago. On one hand people say we should value Indian culture. OTOH, they want any kind of image of an Indian removed so there is no trace of them.
