This doesn't really change anything. People
are more concerned about editing what they
write now in the future, who really cares about
something they wrote a year ago.

well some obviously do care about what they wrote a year ago.... As far as the new posts made, the courtesy edit time is 12 hrs which I believe is more than plenty to make necessary changes.

i have given this topic some serious thinking as some new valid arguments were posted.

Trust me i do get the passion members here have, and i can understand why Ahigh or someone else would feel this way about their posts .
At the same time i do have a responsibility to protect WoV and members from :
a. spammers
b. abuse

What we are going to do is allow back full edit for all the posts made prior x date ( e.g. all posts made prior 21.10.2015. will always editable at any given time ). But all the posts made starting 21.10.2015 and onwards will have the edit time restriction.

This way we will prevent any new potential spam and unsolicited advertising and/or abuse but still allow old content to be editable.

cheers
Zuga

Thank you for re-thinking your position, admirable.

You may still experience a decrease in posts going forward, or a certain livelihood or 'color' in the posts that are made. I assume that, for the most part, more posts are better than less for the site (mine excluded of course ;-) It will be interesting to see if this latest position winds up being re-thought again, but youz guys keep on trying.

And for that you deserve kudos, and big thanks!

I use the edit feature to correct the rare mistake or to better present my posts but I've never needed anywhere near 12 hours. It's more like 12 minutes. What, you thought this silver tongue just happened ? :-)

Whatever happened to the "my house my rules" bandwagon? Where are all the people who used to say that every time a question arose? There were many. Is that not still the case? Shouldn't it still be my house my rules albeit with new owners? Perhaps the new owners are too polite to say that to us.

We don't pay membership fees and we don't own stock in this forum so I think it's pretty nice that we are allowed to voice our opinions and to have the owners respond.

And I thought you just extemporaneously whipped all that stuff out w/o any editing needed. Now your reputation is tarnished for me ;-)

I may be wrong, but I think it was more a case of changing the policy retroactively that garnered the attention. It was for me at least.

Completely agree here, except 'pretty damn fantastic' is more powerful than 'pretty nice'. 2F

Last month. I'm guessing it was more of a money saving move then anything. When your financials have no income and huge expenses, you dump high salaries and make someone do 2 jobs for the price of one.

And it's not NTEK. It's the gaming division that NTEK spun off.

You don't need to guess. There was a press release.

http://nanotechgaming521.newswire.com/press-release/nanotech-gaming-announces-promotion-of-aaron-hightower-to

I'm guessing that you guessed instead of looking this up (what Al said about why I was promoted) in order to put a disparaging spin on your comments.

Just to level the playing field, we all know that I am actually Aaron Hightower, the person listed in the press release.

In the context of this disparaging remark directed at me personally, it should be known that the person making these remarks is(redacted).

I think it's only fair that if you make statements that could DAMAGE my business, we should at least know the business that you are affiliated with when considering any motivation you might have to make such comments.

I do associate your personal comments with (redacted) simply because you work there just as you associate mine with NanoTech Gaming considering that I work here.

Thanks everyone for their appreciation and understanding.

I would further like to put it on record that the probability I would have any problem with the edit policies would not be such if there were not a previous incident between myself and Zcore that got very nasty in my opinion.

Those incidents are all up on this forum for public review.

And while I am hiding nothing, I do edit my posts for the benefit of myself and my business both which are represented in my statements on this forum. And Zcore has made the point that he feels that HOW I do that is a problem.

I disagree. And that's just how I do things.

Quoted. A fine line you are walking here perhaps, both of you. Take a deep breath. JMHO

I would also implore other individuals who have an ability to influence (redacted) to persuade him to cease in his activities where he makes negative statements about me or NanoTech Gaming.
