I'm interested in knowing how many people find the "breadcrumb trail" useful. The breadcrumb trail is the series of links near the top that, for this page, reads Home » Forums » Forum Info » Announcements » Forum Breadcrumb Trail.
Please take a moment to vote for the option that describes you best. Thanks!

It's handy for at least two things:
1. It's an easy way to re-open the thread that you're posting in. I've found that handy in high-volume threads, as a way of checking to see if things have changed while I'm writing a post
2. It's an easy way to get back to the root forum of a given thread without leaving the thread itself, "announcements" in the case of this thread.

I voted "I like it but rarely use it." The few times I've used it have all been for the same reason.
While composing a reply, I sometimes want to see double-check a post other than the one I'm replying to. The last breadcrumb makes that possible. I've never used any of the higher crumbs.
For what it's worth, some forum software will show ALL of the prior posts when replying. I don't like that at all.
I'm tempted to add "Don't change it", but will instead merely comment that I'm wondering why you're asking.

I don't use it every visit, but I like it because it tells you where you are and how you got there, useful when you are searching posts older than the "recent posts" box.
