H10. Wynn Resorts ends ‘despised’ paid parking at its Las Vegas Strip resorts. http://bit.ly/2PJ5RJF
Wynn Resorts ended it two-year-old paid parking program in Las Vegas, announcing Monday it was offering free self-parking at its Wynn Las Vegas and Encore garages for all guests, without limitation, and without the need for validation. The move – which takes place Wednesday – is the first reversal in the trend that began in 2016, when MGM Resorts International began charging for parking at its Las Vegas Strip resorts. Caesars Entertainment, Tropicana Las Vegas, and the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Wynn followed suit in July 2017.

H9. MGM: Companywide workforce reduction to cover 1,000 job eliminations by June. http://bit.ly/2H2HvaZ
MGM Resorts International said Monday its total workforce reduction will cover roughly 1,000 employees by June – almost four times the number of positions the company said it eliminated last week. The Las Vegas-based casino giant spent a good portion of first quarter earnings conference call discussing the MGM 2020 cost reduction efforts, which the company believes will lead to an additional $300 million in cash flow by 2021.

H5 What is a gaming regulator’s job? https://www.cdcgamingreports.com/commentaries/what-is-a-regulators-job/
Gambling regulators in Louisiana, New Jersey and Massachusetts have some big issues on their plates and no one is quite sure what to expect. Big issues in regulation are not uncommon in gaming. Casino gaming is a highly regulated industry and regulators play very prominent roles. As conditions change and the industry evolves, regulators are faced with adapting to new circumstances and that can be challenging.

H4. Murren says the focus is on MGM 2020, downplays any deal for the Cosmopolitan. http://bit.ly/2WtAVzK
Jim Murren attempted on Monday to stamp out speculation that MGM Resorts International wants to acquire the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, which was put up for sale two weeks ago. I’m not sure he succeeded. MGM’s CEO would rather have the investment community focus on the MGM 2020 corporate restructuring program, which the company expects will result in $300 million of additional cash flow by 2021.

H3. Too big to fail U.S. Pacific Island casino keeps failing. http://bit.ly/2V0X8Dt
Last Friday’s Marianas Variety newspaper reports the Rotary Club of Saipan raked in US$34,000 from a Las Vegas Night. Perhaps the Rotarians can teach Imperial Pacific International how to operate a profitable casino on the U.S. Pacific island, part of the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands.

Fair enough.

How about a monthly news thread instead of a daily one.

This way its length will be limited but not flooding daily with new threads.

MAY'S MONTHLY GAMBLING NEWS has some appeal, yes?

Let's let members decide for themselves. Click on Link to Vote: http://bit.ly/2ZYWbzu

P.S. The POLL is for one item per member only, and will end on the 11/May/2019.

Well that's pretty impressive then if written from scratch

JB is a very impressive individual when it comes to that (coding/computer science). I’ve seen and been the beneficiary of many of his projects over the years and he is truly in a league of his own.
