Cool! Great news - for me, anyway.

It would have been hard for me to attend being so close after G2E.

I may actually buy an expo ticket and go!

Now I gotta hope for no snow…

This is extraordinarily odd. Willy Allison's long standing World Game Protection Conference is scheduled for Feb 15-17th. Marcus' conference would directly compete for the same audience over the same days.

I booked hotels, air and bought my ticket a few weeks ago.

Still gotta hope for no snow (I live in New Jersey), but now I gotta hope for covid to settle down by then. If it were next week, with what’s been going on lately, I’d cancel…

I will be exhibiting for the first time and look forward to meeting those who will be attending. I had a logistics question around how to rent/transport a table for the show. Are there specific local companies that any past exhibitors have used for this they can recommend?

From my day job, I have experience running a small booth at large shows (think G2E size shows). This show is smaller, so some of this may not apply.

Read ALL the material that the organizer / venue has provided. The short answer is, it's probably easiest to rent stuff right from them. And they WILL rent you a lot of the generic stuff you may need.

The paperwork should have a list of recommended suppliers for most of your booth needs. They may also have a specific set of procedures for bringing in booth materials. You'll learn a new word: 'Drayage'. That refers to the logistics of shipping, storing and bringing your show materials to the booth.

You won't be allowed to bring in anything that you can't carry by yourself. No carts or hand trucks allowed.

----

What are you showing? What booth number? I'll be sure to stop by (that is, as long as I don't get sidelined by covid or snow).

Good luck.

Thanks, the exhibitors packet with that paperwork should be sent out in a couple weeks, so I guess I can wait and see what they have available to rent. I was assuming it was more focused on generic things to rent (tables/chairs/etc...) as opposed to renting a blackjack table to throw my own layout on which is why I was curious if other exhibitors had experience with this aspect (whether they live within driving distance and can bring their own table, or rent from a local company they can recommend, or have to ship their own via freight...?).

I will be showing a new player vs dealer poker game. My provisional is in my lawyers hands and will be out later this week, I will start a thread once it is submitted and share the details. I will be in booth 5, look forward to seeing you there.

Weeks? I’m surprised they don’t send the package immediately, or have it downloadable.

This exactly matches my experience with trade shows at my old day job.
We learned the hard way to use the organizer's preferred and recommended company for exhibit transport. Their trucks unload first; other trucks might get a chance to unload later.
Our exhibitors learned quickly to carry cash to get certain things done, since they weren't allowed to do some things like "plug in extension cords" without hiring an electrician. Maybe this show is different.
May the cards fall in your favor.

As I mentioned in the Spring Fling thread:

I attempted to get a meet-up going at G2E this past October. The result was 3 of us having dinner at Mirage. Good dinner and good company, but not exactly what I was hoping for. I figured that rather than try to organize something for the TGC, I'll let something come together organically at the conference.

On the other hand, who is going? Is there any interest in a dinner meet-up?
