We play at Foxwoods where they have two tables, one only open peak hours, and they both have good and steady play! The game does play quite slowly with a Full table which could be a benefit for your game, but also could just be because it’s new.

I’m happy to answer any other questions

Do most of the people playing know the game 31 prior to sitting or do most seem to be playing 31 for the first time (you and the GF included)?

Many people from New England know a game called “Scat” which is a 3-card pick up and draw game so people who know that game pick up 3-card Blitz very quickly. Since scat is competitive it is very natural to play against the dealer.

The dealers seem to struggle the most with it surprisingly. My girlfriend and I help them score our hands and their hands often. We have taught a few guests from NY show to play when we were at the table with them. Blitz is easy to learn in just a few hand though

I knew it as Scat. That's why my games mimic the game play with 3 cards plus a draw to get to make your hand....

People know it as a number of other names around the country. Down south some people call it Tonk 31 (even though there is another different game called tonk) and Booray (even though there is another game with the same name). Some know it as Knock. a few other random ones as well.

31 Classic will be launching at Waterview on 4/25.

If anyone is local and wants to come out for the launch, we will be giving away some promo shot glasses and chips for this game as well.

Yay! Best wishes and longevity!
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Proud to announce that 31 Classic will be going live in Vicksburg, MS, at the Waterview Casino...

Two things:

1) Congrats, that's awesome!

2) While I'm not hard barred, if they got my name, I would no longer be welcome to play there =P... and it's no where near me. So unfortunately it looks like I'm not gonna get a chance to check it out in a live environment... UNTIL IT SPREADS!
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

1) Thank you sir. I hope many people are yelling "$5 Dollar Winner" at the table....

2) That's to bad..... Perhaps you'll have to give 3 Card Fury a try at GVR in June when that game launched for its NV trial if you'll be in town at any point around then.

You have to add some swag to your dice collection.... :-)

31 Classic is off to a great start at Waterview!

The staff loves the game and is really helping get players over the hump to try the game. The table gets quite loud with the draw card so that in itself is drawling a large deal of attention to the table.

We launched last Friday and the table was full for 6.5 hours and play was sustained through 2:30am. Saturday was also a very good day with a full table for several hours, with returning players from the night before and play through 1:30am.

Traffic is quite slow on everything other than BJ and Craps during the week, but we still got some play on all but one day for the few hours the game was open. We are a little short staffed at the moment so at times the table simply can’t be opened until this next batch of dealers hits the floor.

I’m just leaving the floor for the second Friday and the table was again full for five hours and we had play through 1:30am. Several returning players from the previous weekend and the second someone got up, someone immediately jumped in the seat. I actually got yelled at by one of their Mississippi stud players who said he told me to hold a spot if one opened up, which I didn’t remember and as a result didn’t do.

Lots of exciting hits tonight. Two or three 50-1 natural 31s and several 15 & 30 - 1s on the Royal Family Bonus. Several teaser big hits on the 200/400/500/1000-1 which was the right color card but wrong suit.

The addition of the 4 Card Royal Family Bonus (including the rainbow) is a game changer and the juicing up of the lower end pays on both the Play and Natural pay tables has made a world of difference for the feel of the game.

Fingers crossed but I can’t have asked for a better start (staff feedback, player feedback and gameplay alike).
