Title as long as it is pretty much says it all, seeing as my statistical prowess is rather lacking I was wondering if someone could tell me which would be a better game to put my money towards. I will either be playing $1 7 coin double super times pay bonus poker 7-5, 5 hand, at 35 credit for $35 total or $2 7 coin double super times pay bonus poker 7-5, at 21 credit or $42 total. Thanks in advance for any help and sorry if has been posted before, I couldn't find it at all, albeit my search for it was not the most thorough. As a sidnote hit my first royal yesterday on $1 7 coin 3 hand DSTp 9-5 held j 10 suited 3rd hand hit took me less than 10 hands playing to hit it.

I realize I may not have posted enough information

paytable

royal 800-1
Sflush 50-1
4 aces 80-1
4 2s,3s,4s 40-1
4oak 25-1
full house 7-1
flush 5-1
straight 4-1
trips 3-1
2pair 2-1
pair 1-1

this is of course based on the 5 credit max not including the 2 extra for the option of dstp

If that paytable is correct and it's not a Class II game, the return is 100.83%. Playing 5 hands with a $1 denomination would have lower variance than 3 hands with a $2 denomination.

Sorry fairly new, not sure what you mean by class II game and lower variance i assume is better no? And thanks for your help

*edit
did some reading on class II still not entirely sure how to make the distinction but i did have a very good run the other day, bought in for $500 hit the royal, hand pay, then continued to play and hit a couple of 4oak and good multiplier wins turned $500 into $5700 fairly quickly and often on the machine i will hold a high card over 4 to a low inside straight and sure enough two of the three hands will have drawn the card for the inside. Not sure if that signifies anything, or how exactly I can tell if it is class II

I guess the most obvious hand to tell if it is class II or not would be the dealt 4oak from tonight

If it's Class III, the machine's signage will usually say something like "Game uses one 52-card deck"

If it is Class II, it might say something like "Game simulates one 52-card deck" and/or will mention bingo, and/or there will be a bingo card somewhere on the display. There may also be a "genie card" or "match card" mechanism, restoring a winning hand on the draw if you accidentally or intentionally discard a dealt winner.

The reason I am suspicious is because 9/5 Bonus Poker is unheard of. It would return 100.3174% without the Double Super Times Pay feature, and 100.83% with it, if cards were dealt fairly. I can't help but suspect that there is something amiss; casinos don't typically offer games with such a huge player advantage. I can't even see IGT including 9/5 Bonus Poker as a paytable the casino could choose to offer, unless it was a Class II machine.

I will need to look at the pay table again and verify I am correct, but after looking at my states gambling laws I am still uncertain based on two articles from the law.

(3) It must use a random selection process to
determine the outcome of each play of a game. The random selection process must meet 99% confidence limits using a standard chi-squared test for (randomness) goodness of fit.

        (9) The theoretical payback percentage of a video
gaming terminal must not be capable of being changed without making a hardware or software change in the video gaming terminal, either on site or via the central communications system.

I am gambling iIllinois, specifically rivers casino

Now I can't figure out if you are asking for STP 9/5 Jacks or DSTP 9/5 Jacks, so here are the figures for all three games:

DSTP 9/5 Jacks or Better returns 98.95%
STP 9/5 Jacks or Better returns 98.72%
DSTP 7/5 Bonus Poker returns 98.51%

Whether it is STP or DSTP, 9/5 Jacks or Better returns more than the DSTP 7/5 Bonus Poker.

Yeah, I would be playing 9/5 Jacks w/double STP.

Also keep in mind, you aren't forced to play all hands to make the max bet of 7 credits per hand.
