It would be a huge player advantage...probably in the 10% range? There'd have to be a new strategy chart though. There are many possible combinations.

With perfect play,

  • Edge seeing one dealer card: 3.37%
  • Edge seeing two dealer cards: 17.20%
  • Edge seeing three dealer cards: 37.88%.

The strategy chart is available for two cards. I'm not sure if Mr. Wizard has it in his book.

The optimal strategy chart for seeing 3 cards is pretty easy to figure out.

Not only is the two-dealer card strategy not in my book, I'm not sure it exists in writing anywhere. I checked "Beyond Counting," and it doesn't have one. It should be obvious most of the time anyway.

Check page 141 of Beyond Counting.

I saw A,4 offsuit.

Play A64 or higher.

The reason i was given when i asked this question at work was "Its for game security". We dont always show the cards, but are encouraged to do it sporadically to deter card cheats. so says the boss.

Be thankful for bad dealers :P Any dealer half decent at their job should be able to get cards out of a machie without flashing.

I stand corrected about the 2-card strategy not being in Beyond Counting. It is indeed on page 141 of the first edition, and page 346 of the second edition.

I answer that question three posts back. Just put the title in any search engine.

Is it realistic to think that you will about make your initial bet every hour? Is $900 for ever $5 bet a extremely safe buffer? Has that ever not been enough of a buffer for any of you guys? Would two hands of $10 need a $4000 buffer or less?

Thanks guys you are the best
