They probably would. Doubt it happens.
FWIW the manager at the town one was a middle aged black guy and had a no nonsense attitude. Kind of guy made for the place but you wondered if he could work out in the suburbs after years in the city.

They've probably all got their walkers lined up out on the sidewalk. As soon as they all get through using the rest room I'm sure they'll mount up and move on. Ready to meet up with their mall-walking dolls and then get over to Denny's for the 4pm early bird specials. The Wild Bunch. Is Marlon Brando still alive?

A woman who worked for me once previously worked at a BK franchisee. She worked at a mall location and seniors got a free coffee with any purchase. The desert cookie was the cheapest thing on the menu so that is what they bought. I think she said that store sold more cookies than any in the system.
It is a big social thing on the senior life to meet up at these places.
But now everything is prepay only
Quote: Gabes22Another thing that used to get me was pre-pay or pay at the pump. I would not go to any facility that asked me to walk in and pay before I pumped. Not only cuz it felt unsafe but now I have to guess how much is left in the tank and then if I overshoot by $2 I gotta wait in line again to get my money back? No thanks
But now everything is prepay only
Use a credit card and save yourself the trouble.

Using a credit card at the pump can lead to all sorts of problems, especially if your available credit isn't so high. I've read horror stories of cloning devices attached to the machines and some places putting $200 holds on your card. Stop for gas a few times driving long distance and suddenly your card is declined at a hotel because you are at your limit. My bank recommends you go in and prepay rather than have them open a line of credit while you pump. I like to use the opportunity to stretch my legs.

Just use your American Express, there is no limit.

But it used to be you went with X in cash and bought that much gas. You would figure get $5-10 worth, unless you were going on a trip and said "fillerup." Even if you were filling it and paying cash you would often stop at a round number.
Only time I do not fillerup now is if I my free gas from the grocery program is expiring and I do not have my spare cans with me.
Then perhaps buying gas cards would solve both issues.Quote: billryanUsing a credit card at the pump can lead to all sorts of problems, especially if your available credit isn't so high.
