Thanks, Wizard, I went yesterday but there was no game, still early in the day. Again I spoke to management, again they said they did not have anything written as for rules, in fact they said almost the same thing you said about finding out more this coming week. I'm going again today, maybe there will be a game.

I played that game at the gaming show. The owner said he would send me the math report on it. For now, I at least know the rules and will put those in writing as soon as I have a chance.
It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet.

As a teaser for everyone in the meantime.

UTH betting structure to start the hand, then the following differences during game play:

1) The game has a match the dealer side bet where if any of your hole cards match the dealers, you get paid odds.

2) Just like their other Down Under games, you are given the low, mid or high range of both dealer hole cards at the start, before the player makes any play/fold decision.

3) Betting differences: Pre-flop, player may go 2 or 3 times ante or check. Post-flop player must go 1 times ante or fold (you can not see the turn/river without playing the hand).

4) Dealer always qualifies.

Am I ok in assuming that in a game like this where the dealer always qualifies the payouts are not as friendly as some other games? Or is it because we can’t see the turn and river, extra house edge is coming from there?

I believe the lack of a 4x option and the fact you have to call before seeing the turn/river cancels out the increased EV from the down under mechanism as I don’t recall much different pay tables from the UTH “blind” to this games “bet” wagers. Although I’m not 100% positive off the top of my head.

That's completely different math and strategy from UTH, IMO. More like Texas Hold'Em.

I could be wrong, since I've never played it.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I was just explaining the game play for those who asked. UTH is the easiest/most common starting point for betting structure and game play with these hold‘em variations...
