Today, Mar 21, 2022, PokerStars has debuted an (on-line) casino site as an add-on to their on-line poker site. I quickly surveyed the casino side of their site -there are > 20 games. Most of the ones I looked at appeared to be slots. One of them is European Blackjack. I played that blackjack game for a while and found it to be buggy. It froze up after about 9 hands. There also seemed to be times when it was displaying cards in addition to the cards in the player and dealer hand!

I am no expert on on-line games, but I am wondering whether these games are unique to the PokerStars site.

The Pokerstars site has been set up to allow players to play poker for cash if they are from states/countries where that is permitted or to play for "play tokens." I assume that is the same case for their newly introduced casino. I played for play tokens that are apparently awarded each day you log in.

Anyway, I am certainly not endorsing the site - just reporting a completely new on-line casino. However, it's fair to say that I am not aware of any reported issues with extracting funds from an account on the poker side of the site. This has been a highly reputable site.

I am in Canada and Poker Stars has had an online casino for years. Yes you can play poker for free but not the casino. They have slots, video poker and many table games.

Hey, thanks for posting about Pokerstars!

Yesterday, I played sit 'n go tournament HORSE, as I do on occasion, for 10K play money chips.

Today, I noticed there was no 10K tournament, only a 25K Hyper tournament, in which you get 500 chips instead of 1,500 to start.

Folks I played with said the change just happened, and now HORSE is basically unplayable. It's certainly not as fun and skill-based as it should be.

Even though it's play money, people who played HORSE on Pokerstars generally played like it's real poker, so it's a shame they made this change.

Also, they got rid of all the 10K play money tournaments. I was joking (but being serious) that there's no news about this on Google News because pretty much none of the world cares about this. Especially when there's more important things in the world going on.

I remember the old days of Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker.net, where if you lost all your chips, you had to start with 10K chips again. I started with 10K chips and worked my way up to 1 million play money chips. But now it's all about getting people to pay real money for play money chips.
