I'm in NJ and have been trialing the sites during the soft launch - I've got a Mac, and have only been able to get into a few of the sites -

borgata's web signin is a mess - the registration page was http for a while (SSN anyone?) and still isn't working properly,
caesars has their stuff together mostly - did have a little bit of a bonus snafu earlier, but that got resolved amicably,
taj's ucasino is a mess, their geo-ip service has their package unsigned so most macs that are properly locked down will refuse to install their loki.com geoip plugin - they also redirect to a 404 error page on the attempted geoip download (at least the domain is there so that one can hunt around for the plugin, which is unsigned/untrusted by apple).

Somehow I've caught a nice positive run this weekend - picked up >1k this weekend so far.

on what, May I Ask? Do you know what % the cash back is? I know they have 9/6 Jacks do they have anything better? I know one place offers a 100% match bonus up to $500 not sure what the wagering requirements are for that or how its released. Do you know if the casino and poker room use the same ecash or is it separate? Can you transfer money back and forth between the casino and poker room?

mostly blackjack - close to 2k now.
no information on cash back/comps - and haven't looked into poker..
I don't see the ability to transfer funds between casinos...
the wait on the online withdrawal times is pretty much insane - though they do give the option of cashing out from the casino cage.

Are you very certain a good VPN service will not work? Who knows if it would be worth it or not. I believe a few poker players may disagree. Tons of things don't seem to be worth the time and effort to do, yet I see people spending ungodly amounts of time just to say I did it.

The player verification system scans your computer. If your computer has a remote access program running then you will be denied access to the system. I am not saying it is impossible but I have run tests for it (I am media and kicking all the tires for a story) and could not crack it. I know several others that have done the same thing.

There is a group whose job it is to crack the system during the soft launch. To the best of my knowledge it has been unsuccessful. With all of the issues people in the state are having getting verified it would be funny if people on the outside could pull it off.

Also, the poker bonuses and VIP are not so bad in NJ. The casino ones and associated VIP programs are as bad as you can imagine. All of the casino bonuses I have seen so far are "sticky". Betfair has some terms that define "bonus abuse" that are pretty bad.

I'm compiling data on those items for a story. Some of it is not out yet because it is still soft launch.

OMG, not that crap all over again. Looks like all they are doing is taking online gambling away from other countries and making it worst. Then again, I knew this would happen. I wont give up yet.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - The rush to get online and gamble in New Jersey is increasing.

More than 14,000 new online gambling accounts were created with Atlantic City casinos since Friday, bringing the total to more than 51,000 since a trial period started on Nov. 21.

The second full week of online betting in the state began Monday.

The state's Gaming Enforcement Division could not say how many different gamblers actually made bets online. Some users have created accounts with more than one gambling site.

On Thanksgiving Day alone, 5,000 new accounts were created.

Online betting marks the biggest expansion of gambling in New Jersey since the first Atlantic City casino opened in 1978. New Jersey is the third state in the nation to offer Internet gambling, after Nevada and Delaware.
