Sally,
When I go to the Fox 411 connect site, the article next to the picture of George Harrison states the following:

A guitar George Harrison played at a time when Beatlemania was taking flight has sold for nearly half a million dollars at a New York auction.
Music
Harrison guitar brings in big bucks

George Harrison guitar sells for nearly a quarter of a million dollars, and speaks nothing of any 163 rolls in one hand of craps. Can anyone point me in the direction of an article that discusses a Utah woman setting a new record at Craps? Has anyone seen record of this roll and where and when it occurred?

Lets say you went to the casino once a day.

And you could only place one bet and then leave.

On the craps table what would that one bet be?

one bet. win or lose. place it then leave.

One bet? I'd bet the Don'ts.

When your looking at the one bet deal, there are a lot of bets one could make such as
buy a 4 or ten with vig paid on win.... great bet. smaller HA than laying the 5 or 9
which is 3.23 % or laying the 6 or 8 which has a ha of 4%.

The five and nine works for me because of the combination of events....

19% chance a shooter gets two points in a row..... that means 81% chance he
wont...and I get paid 71.4 of my lay.... good spread for me

I don't like laying the 4 or 10 because for every loss I almost have to win two times
to break even, and I wont lay the 6 or 8.

The reason I would not play the donts......in general is because with the don't pass or don't come
I don't know where the money will be placed before I bet.... when I wait and select the 5 or 9
I am putting it when and where I think I have the best chance to win.

Sally,

George passed away in 2001 and i think if he did make a comment, he would talk about his guitar

i also tried to find the article again
but no such luck

the page was loading very slowly on my laptop (not unusual for dsl)
that is why i snipped a photo of it
after the page finally loaded, i could not find that article.
i did have 2 tabs open in google chrome so MAYbe one got crossed with the other

that headline for me does not show up when i look for it
i would like to read it also

MAYbe Alan Mendelson wants to do some investigative work on this, he may know people in Utah and Northern Nevada too
this has a fishy smell like like the Captains 148 roll hand record (he was in his 80s)
where no info can also be found on that hand except from a few biased reports from a name that needs to remain unnamed

and my husband and his boss claimed to have been at that table with that woman
that is where i first heard of this super Mom craps hand
still trying to get details of this event
really weird not to want any fame or the casino not to report what took place.

this comes up in a google search
"The Captain is a rarity. I am not. As a writer, a teacher and a speaker, as a former actor, I
crave the public performance. I want a readership, an audience. I like the spotlight on me."

no, no fish for me now, thanks
Sally

added =======================
I found another article, well headline i guess
it did not click through to a story (huh???)

so something is going on

that was clever

Are you sure that "spread" relationship is valid? I had always been told that one roll of the dice was independent of the next one(or past one)?

a dont player does know where the money will be placed before the bet is made

it either loses on a 7 or 11

wins on a 2 or 3
pushes on a 12

and if the next roll is a 4,5,6,8,9 or 10

the choice is now up the player if that number is one that is wanted to bet against
"no action" is an option for any dont player

Yup that's correct, I lose on 11 and I lose on 7 and then if the number is a 6 ,8,4,10 I have to say no
action and expose my bet again to the 7 and 11...

That may make sense to you, but not to me, I will stick with the one bet I suggested (if I was to
only make one bet a day).

If I place a don't pass I have no idea what the don't pass number will be... could be anything... if I place a don't come I could lose on the
7 and 11.... as you know.... I don't want it on the 6 or 8 or 4 or 10... so there are six things that can happen I don't
want..... if I wait to place it on the 5 or 9 after the first point is made , lets say it is the 9...... the only possibility to hurt me is a nine.
why in the world do I want to expose my money to 6 things I don't want as compared to only 1...

In addition it has been you for many months that has been bragging on here that you are the only person you know that is a life time winner
and you did by selecting the point where you placed a bet against the point....

Now maybe you are no longer a life time winner and had a change of "heart" or you just forgot what you have been saying.

Again.... I don't care how you bet or anyone else..... the question was if you were going to make one bet a day what would it
be..... and that is mine.... if some one else has a different bet.,.. great.... it is a hypothetical question to begin with and no one
has to do it.. you don't agree.... pic your own bet.

Betterr yet go to your table and take $1000 dollars and play the don't pass straight up with $100 bet no odds and take
the same $1000 and wait until you make a point and if your next point is 5 or 9 place against
it for $100 and I bet I will
win.
