Just watched 21 for the the first time in its entirety (had seen bits of it)
Mildly amusing. Most stupid bit was the '209' robot requiring a 16K EPROM but a 8K EPROM nearly worked, but in conjunction with a very nice laptop and a two joystick remote control. And that robot was just a wonky tricycle. . . Which went on to win an award.
Sorry. was there some blackjack in there? Oh yeah. Codeword 'magazine' means count is 17. Well that would be pretty high as a true count: No wonder it was just before every hand being stupendously successful. . . What do you mean, just a rolling count? Hardly worth coming to the table for.
>$300K left in the college bedroom ceiling, while the hero nips off to Vegas every weekend? Stolen? Never saw that coming $:o)
And did the Riviera really get value for money for their product placement as the gaff that back-roomed and beat the crap out of the hero? I guess that just encouraging a few Z******s to invest their futures in the pursuit of the card counting dream would actually be worth the bad publicity.
Biggest disappointment was not seeing Kate Bosworth's t1t5 in the love scene. Still, a quick google search of 'Kate Bosworth ******' Turned up the goodies and more. Could have saved 90 minutes of my life if I'd gone straight to google $:o)
Anyways, it had an upside. Inspired me to pop £46 into my online account and play it up to £150 before cashing out.
Embrace the Variance
Good news: I was once at a lifetime Blackjack Profit of £18K
Bad News: Gravity prevailed.
