I'm amazed the Wizard has wrong information about the SF21 games in Vegas. I'm a Vegas local who plays SF21 constantly at casinos like Sahara, Sam's Town, The Stations chain, Plaza, Golden Nugget, Fremont, Ramparts, Suncoast, Orleans, and Coast. SF21 ALWAYS requires Dealer to HIT soft 17, and all of the following ARE ALLOWED to the PLAYER: SURRENDER anytime (even after a double down or splits), DOUBLE DOWN anytime, even on all splits), SPLIT up to 4 hands including Aces, Double payout for diamonds BJ, even-money for all other BJs which are automatic winners and never pushed or need insurance, double payout for 5 or more cards totalling 21, automatic winner for 6 cards not busting. The only differences I have found from casino to casino and different SF21 tables within them, are the minimum and maximim range of bets (usually $5 to $500), the number of decks used (usually 2), hand shuffle or machine shuffle, matching pair side bets and payouts (Plaza pays $300 to $1 side bet for an Ace and Jack of diamonds), and the times of day when the SF21 game is available to play, mostly evenings. So I have to question if the House edges posted on the Wizard's chart for SF21 BJ are accurate since the underlying data is mostly wrong. Please clear it up if you expect to be taken seriously as an authority on SF21 in Vegas, or just admit you don't know. Personally, I'm no mathmetician, but I find all these advantages for the player far outweigh the usual BJ payout of 3 to 2, which some claim is the be all and end all to BJ odds. That's why it's hard to find SF21 in many casinos, unlike standard BJ. I enjoy this version of BJ and after much real world game experience with it, I won't play any other BJ version. If I had to recommend one place to play SF21 in Vegas it would be Sam's Town at the corner of East Tropicana and Boulder Highway, which always has at least one table open, with a machine shuffle of only one deck, and a pairs match side bet paying 15 to 1. A second table with a hand shuffle opens up later in the evenings. On the Vegas strip, I go to the Sahara to play SF21. It always has at least one table open (max 4 on weekend nights) with a hand shuffle of two decks, but no side bets. Again, ALL OTHER PLAYING RULES IN SF21 ARE THE SAME.

You're absolutely right. Thank you for the correction. I made an error in transcribing the raw data from the CBJN, which I get in Excel, into HTML. I'll correct that when I get the November update, which should be any day now.

Jeez Tony don't have a cow.

The Wiard is one of, if not THE leading authority on gambling mathematics.

With the vast amount of information on his main site and the new project here, as well as the casino reviews I'm sure that's a lot of information to manage.

Just send an e mail (see contact at bottom of page) and it'll be corrected with due diligence.
