Speaking of more unusual, expensive foods people eat,

Uni (sea urchin)
Masago (capelin roe)
Ama-ebi (sweet shrimp, raw)
Ikura (salmon roe)

Some of these are supposed to be nutritious, others aphrodisiacs.

Ikura is amongst my favorite foods in the world! Masago is good too. I don’t like Uni, nor do I like the raw shrimp.

Give me an eel and avocado roll with the roe sushi and I’m all good.

Those shrimp are not raw, they have been cooked.

I almost always get Ama-ebi (sweet shrimp), which are raw. Those shrimp I posted (and we ate 😇) are raw, same as the below, they have not been cooked.

Spot Prawns
Amaebi, or spot prawns, are cold water shrimp known for their sweet taste. They are the only species of shrimp that are best enjoyed raw, as cooking them will rob them of their sweet taste and creamy texture. Amaebi are wild-caught in the cold waters between Russia and Northern Japan.

Ebi, which is more of the garden sushi variety, looks like this. It is cooked.

Uni is definitely an acquired taste, but like good caviar, it doesn't have a strong taste if it is very fresh.

I’m going with the big Dawg on this one. I once ordered the raw shrimp and didn’t like it at all. But it was definitely raw. I will eat a cooked shrimp in sushi if it comes in a predetermined grouping, but don’t like it enough to order it a la carte anymore.

Had TWO 8 ounce lobster tails tonight. Yummy!

Bob N has been a friend and resource to AP’s for many years. Now he is under attack by a member here who is requesting he be reported to the Nevada bar association and harassed for his dealing with a client.

MDawg is threatening to expose a member of the AP community to casinos and drag Bob into it. All of this is posted on another forum showing the true intent of MDawg.

This is a chance for Mike to show he is not bought and paid for by MDawg and also do a solid for a lawyer who has always been there for the AP community. Will he step up or hide behind excuses of being drama from other forums here?

This post is worthy of its own thread, bad form to hijack this thread like that.

You know, when you walk through the casino’s doors, you are anonymous and you are protected from other’s harassing and ill motives.

Shouldn’t forums, or at least this one be the same?

I can't speak for the casino you work at, or ones in Las Vegas, but at the closest casino to Portland, a tribal joint called Ilani, they required all patrons to produce their ID and they scanned / photographed it: this was required starting at 8:00 PM for some reason.

Day 157 play

DD Blackjack. 300 - 15000.

Bad run, up and down, ended down pretty badly. Not happy about it!

-28000

Note: Lately, for security reasons, session reports are not necessarily presented in real time corresponding directly to the day played.

I'm willing to present a side Challenge. If anyone doubts that any one, just any one of the Session reports I present during this trip is not entirely accurate, throw down a red flag! Put up a mere ten grand in cash, let's work out how to verify the Session to your satisfaction using the Wizard as the judge, and winner takes the twenty thousand.

I'll contribute five hundred from my end for the Wizard's time if the Challenger will do the same, so that's $19,000. to the winner of this side Challenge.

This Side Challenge remains good for the duration of this particular Vegas trip.

At this point I say screw it and Im on full tilt.

It was me and the dealer. So if I wasn't willing to play basic strategy and was scared having such a big bet (by my standards) on that pair of 7's, and not willing to split. I would have just stayed. No way I hit a 14 against a 6. Dealer would have flipped the face for a 16 and then drew the 3, making 19. I'd have lost the $750 and been down $2500. Instead, I get it all back plus a small profit. Lucky day!

It's not scientific, but my experience has been that a catch up bet works best if done quickly. In other words, if you're behind in whatever table game and you're willing to lay it all out there to catch up, you're better off taking your stab sooner rather than later.

If you sit there like an uncool deer in the headlights afraid to bet, you will probably see hands come by where you WOULD have won (and, you're not betting (free hands - Baccarat), or betting too small (Blackjack)), and all that missed opportunity might unnerve you enough to go further on tilt, and lay the big bet out there when the cards are really bad, and you're losing more hands than ever.

Fantastic real sound advice!!!!!!!!

And that is the way I have learned and that is the way I have profited by being a friend, a loyal supporter and the number one fan of the Great MDawg.

I have been asked before how this guy could’ve helped me and here’s a perfect example and there’s plenty more of them except you guys don’t read and don’t understand (IMO and I am referring to the majority not everyone conclusively) however I’m not going to get into the additional things.

But remember I have 10s of thousands of dollars of available bankroll (all WIN money too) because of the Great MDawg!!!!!!!!

Over and Out, Copy That?

We (the dealers and I) were just talking about this, during a recent session. I failed to follow my own advice on the Day 157 session. But, the count contraindicated jumping the bet when I was winning a lot of hands in a row, and was awesome later, when I kept losing. Oh well, slow and steady or at least - keeping to full AP methodologies - wins the race, or at least should win the race!

OK Decency, I don't know who you are, but you're clearly very familiar with this thread and I suppose you are a sock. This first post of yours definitely brings drama in from external forums, which is against our rules.

I was going to split your post off into another thread, 'FAO the Wizard', but that is technically not possible at this time.
Before I suspend you, I'm going to bring your post to wizard's attention. You might choose to PM him, for his opinion, but don't expect him to be happy to hear from you.

Nuke for importing drama from other forums and sock puppetry.

I will just say that I am open to evidence of this via PM.
