Nobody figured out what happened yet? As for Eliot's post that was quoted. That came from a different thread and is why you don't see it in the one you were reading. I think the last post by Rome's there was the only one to disappear.
I'm stumped, nothing new there.Quote: GWAE2f if you figure out what is going on please let me know.

Legally, the jackpot would be payable to the estate of the deceased winning player.

Legally is a good viewpoint. Operationally and realistically is another.
Sit the body at a machine nearby, try to prop it up so it looks almost alive, maybe just taking a nap ;-?
Quote:Menzio said he was flying from Philadelphia to Syracuse on Thursday night and was solving a differential equation related to a speech he was set to give at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada. He said the woman sitting next to him passed a note to a flight attendant and the plane headed back to the gate. Menzio, who is Italian and has curly, dark hair, said the pilot then asked for a word and he was questioned by an official.
"I thought they were trying to get clues about her illness," he told The Associated Press in an email. "Instead, they tell me that the woman was concerned that I was a terrorist because I was writing strange things on a pad of paper."

Grandkids are more fun. Spoil them rotten, then send em home.
Talk about being arrested for writing math equations aboard an aircraft: I used to sit in class and play chess with myself by writing down each side's moves. (P-K4, for example). After seeing several lines of such writing some sweet young thing next to me asked "Don, what are those strange scribblings?". My response was a straigh-faced "Instructions from voices that I hear". ...Quote: rxwineI may have to report this whole site to Homeland Security.
Can you imagine what would happen nowadays?
No, but you sure do have some interesting insights. You have to forgive me sometimes, when I was in elementary school my vocabulary tested at the college sophomore level.

No, dear, we don't forgive you. Stay smart and erudite. :)

Aw schucks,,, gee willickers... Fleastiff blushes and paws racetrack's turf at "dear", "smart" and "erudite".
That can be a useful skill.
For example, some kind of vaguely poker themed gibberish can be an excellent response to an angry douche's "how could you call me with THAT?!" "Derp, the square of differential implied odds, derp, exceeded the hypotenuse, derp, of a combinatorial Sklansky ratio, derp... so I called." Preferably delivered with a deranged tone & demeanor. Works best if you haven't shaved recently.
I'd like to be able to pull off something similar for shooing away panhandlers and timeshare peddlers.
Broke the right wrist: at that time we were learning to form our letters in school.
For six weeks I learned with my left hand, then when the cast came off went back to being a righty.
To this day I write right-handed, but hold the pen as if I am a lefty.
This is such a terrible time of the year for this to happen. I feel bad for him. We have season passes to local amusement park but that will be out, baseball season is over, and no swimming until late July if all goes well.
Shooing away timeshare peddlers I can understand but my fellow panhandlers, never.Quote: DrawingDeadI'd like to be able to pull off something similar for shooing away panhandlers and timeshare peddlers.

This needs some 'splainin. Like the pen's angle to the paper is different than normal people? ie: The tip of the pen is hidden, inside your hand/palm? |
@GWAE: At first, I read your post as if it was a news article, "4 year old falls off jungle gym". I'm like okay....why is this news worthy? But now it makes sense, you're talking about your kid. |
Wait, can 4 year olds even go to amusement parks, play baseball, or swim? Literally have no idea. Closest thing I have to a child is (are?) my 3 pets (they're actually rescues, my uncle had a bunch of them for some reason [hes sort of a hippy when it comes to stuff like that]). They're beautiful, but I think #2 is gonna die soon, which is why I haven't named him |

That's pretty funny RS. Yes it is our kid that is broken. Surgeon said it was a very nasty break. Broken in 2 places and the growth plate is messed up as well. He has 5 pins and a shoulder to wrist cast.
As far as baseball/swimming/amusement parks.
@ 4 they try to play baseball but they basically run around and run into each other in the field. He takes swim lessons so he can actually swim pretty well. He is 44 inches tall so he can ride 2 of the 5 roller coasters, log jammer (water roller coaster) and a handful of other large rides plus of course the kiddy land rides. Our 2 year old can ride a handful of big rides and kiddy land but no coasters yet.
Quote: GWAEHe is 44 inches tall
Quote: GWAESurgery went well. Now he is resting and I am being annoyed by the wifi thst doesn't allow you do really do anything. .
Breaks, scrapes and stitches on the kids are tough to watch. And illness.
Hurts me to watch them scream and cry.....
12 yr old son used to play soccer, from age 3-9, was quite good.
Broke his lower leg, both bones higher up, and both bones at growth plate, hip to toe cast. Slide tackled he was.
Gave up soccer as too dangerous.
Now he plays Hockey ;-)
I just remembered, 2 weeks after son's break, Sparkles tripped over the vacuum and broke her leg, another wheelchair, more crutches, 2F operated an Infirmary for a while....

Haha no they don't I asked.
How do you keep a 4 year old from falling on broken arm. He has fallen twice today and both times right on the arm. He doesn't understand the concept of stop running.
Hey, it works for horses.

Seems like something he has to teach himself.
Running..tripping. ..falling. ..massive arm pain.

Look for cheap air and make a long weekend. One thing that i have learned by having kids is that life isn't over, it just changes. Before kids it was 2 trips a year for a week or so. Now we at least make it out once a year for a long weekend of 4 days usually.

Oh yeah some online casino asked me for my phone number so I just gave them yours. Just wait till you start getting spam emails from Red Lobster thanking you for the raving review on their "rate us / suggestions" card.....that's djatc's doing, he probably eats at Red Lobster 3-4 times a week!
